I haven’t watched any of the new TV spots/trailers… but on purpose 😅 I know if I dip my toe back into TVL prematurely I will lose sight of everything else, so I’m patiently waiting for June to properly return to my roots. I know, I know, rich that Les hasn’t watched the lestat clips 🤪 anyway, here’s a lestat pic from emerald city - this was another cosplay that fit significantly differently and am now feeling self conscious about, so I will have to continue updating my Lestat repertoire, as he requires confidence to wear. ⋆˙⟡♡⚕🩺⊹ 🤍 ahhh it’s pitt Thursday.. The final Pitt Thursday of 2026 😔 this show has absolutely taken over my brain. I started watching as s1 aired and seeing a fandom grow around it has been magical ( and admittedly at times irritating because fandom brings drama ). It really had given me something to look forward to every week and I will patiently waiting to get that back! 🖤 Langdon was a character I, like many, wasn’t a fan of s1. But s2 has truly endeared him to me; in fact, he’s very close to the top of my list. Recovery storyline and the narrative around the subject resonate with me deeply - so naturally, I’ve become rather attached to this fella. Not to mention, Patrick Ball’s whimsy as a person and technical skill as an actor are captivating. I am a proud Langdon BoyMom 💪 I wanted to make a little something on the advent of the finale as fandom chatter and Paleyfest quotes swirl around the trajectory of Langdon’s recovery. As a reminder: recovery is NOT linear, and that doesn’t make anyone’s journey a failure and does NOT dictate their worth as a person. Featured in this piece are a few items of note: the serenity prayer, often used in recovery spaces as a mantra; a N.A. recovery medallion, which says “Self, God, Society, Service, Freedom & Goodwill”, and a standard 9 month N.A. recovery tag in yellow on his badge (post finale update: I’ll be adjusting this to blue now that we know!). I don’t know if Langdon has been clean for his whole absence, but I chose to denote the elapsed time in this way. This piece is based on one of Andreas Vesalius “Skinless Man” illustrations, as recovery is incredibly vulnerable - like shedding a skin to the world by your own blade. Happy Pitt Thursday. ✃𓄧꒷꒦ eeep!! creature v2! still very very much a draft.. I’ve been a bit nervous to share photos because, as usual, I felt ok the day of but looking back I can’t help nitpicking myself to high hell ( lots of fixable things, lots that I just have to accept ). But at the same time, I absolutely have to share the photos because working with @velvetflamephoto was such a fabulous experience and she made me look and feel good despite my self critiques now. genuinely probably the best photography session I’ve ever had! So, this was an ok first con-floor test. There’s a lot to improve - I didn’t adjust the wig at all (straight out the bag), MUCH more weathering is necessary, I didn’t have time to do my hands aaaand it was my first time semi successfully blocking my very high brows 😅 I also loved the dead eye in theory but I think an orange contact will be more effective in the future. but hey, the cosplay made it out of the group chat so to speak. Also, hottest cosplay ever holy shit. I’m going to be brave and post more because the photos are lovely AND I also got a bunch of great ones with my fabulous Elizabeth, @madmischief , which I will also post over time ( trying to spread some content out bc I won’t be cosplaying again till August or so.. ). And I can’t wait to do him again and again. Originally wasn’t going to get any photos but my lovely friends all convinced me to get my photos done by @tripleclickphoto ( so sorry for the logo vaguely cut off, Instagram cropping is ass ). I had never done photos with them and certainly will again. I’m so glad I captured some nice photos of this cos after all:) I’ll likely bring him to wherever my next con is - rccc, I think - hopefully with a full length, slightly more fitted jersey ( idk if anywhere is making them this quality in an XS but I’m going to look lol ). I’m gonna add more hockey pieces too, probably gloves, elbow/knee pads, better undershirt, etc, and personalize their sticks appropriately in the future too. ⋆˙⟡ 🏒⋆.˚ ⊹₊🍁⟡ ⋆ First eccc post and it HAS to be this 🥰 thank you all for the love on our hastily thrown together hollonov!! We put them together sort of last minute just for fun, knowing we wouldn’t be even remotely accurate, but this cosplay duo has quickly become my favorite. Everyone was so excited and kind, and many said we were the first they’d seen; which felt kind of nice ^_^ We will definitely be doing them again with improvements. there’s small changes to be made, even though we will always be 5-foot-something and not buff as hell, we have decided that Hollonov is The Cosplay Ever. I loved it because I don’t have to wear contacts and my only makeup is mascara and accentuating my preexisting freckles! Coziest ever.. A huge shout out to @sophie__nelisse for being so incredible and making our day. we debated getting a photo because we look…chopped, but her excitement made it totally worth it ( not to mention she’s so kind and so gorg in person )! And much love to everyone who stopped us for photos - the joy / reactions for these costumes specifically was unlike any other cosplay I’ve ever been in, and I want to do them again and again. If you got our ribbons, consider yourself lucky - we actually managed to run out! This first HR post is all the casual/sillies, but swipe for more fun stuff. 𓂃 ࣪˖ ִֶ♱ ྀིྀ ⚰️ guess I should start posting some art since cosplay has slowed down for me for a bit… I’ll start with my two cards for @iwtvtarot - Ten of Swords with @sheilaatim as Akasha ( in the style of Aaliyah’s, since we don’t have any reference for our amc Akasha yet ), and Seven of Pentacles with @delaineyhayles as Claudia, polishing the stage lights. Admittedly this project is pretty bittersweet for me and I still have some mixed feelings, but I am proud of the work I produced and the rest of the artists did fabulous work too. We’re raising a lot of funds for a good cause! I’m not sure I’ll get my hands on a physical deck, but I’d love to see photos of my cards if anyone here does ( or if they’re just buying for decorative purposes and wouldn’t mind sending me mine.. 🖤 ) curse instagrams cropping - these are slightly longer than the post allows, but I think you get the gist. My style is ever adjusting ( these two cards were made a few months apart and admittedly the second is less detailed because I had significantly less time, it was a pinch hit card!), but one of my goals this year is to do more full illustrations + post my work here more.
