On The Ground: A Weekend with Technical Biome and SATISFY’s TheROCKER.
Technical Biome, as a collective, is known for creating visuals that explore the intersection of outdoor utility, technical design, and – primarily – community. With a solid foundation in performance gear and a keen eye for storytelling, their lens captures purpose as well as great products. For this shoot, the goal was to push TheROCKER across a variety of terrains and moods, with each location revealing a different narrative, personality, and identity that might often be overlooked.
Armed with three colourways – “Antique White”, “Shadow”, and “Falcon” – the team ventured to the Peak District, navigating between the black tarmac of Ghost Road, a shale outcrop hill, and a flooded quarry. No biome was chosen for its aesthetic; instead, each reflected the design intention of TheROCKER itself. From smooth transitions over gravel to risky off-road excursions, the shoe’s capabilities were tested in true conditions, where each terrain reinforced the @SATISFYrunning tone. What unfolded was a display that felt cinematic yet grounded – intentional, instinctual, and alive.

On The Ground: A Weekend with Technical Biome and SATISFY’s TheROCKER
When @satisfyrunning announced the arrival of its first-ever trail running shoe, SEVENSTORE recognised that this was far more than just another footwear release. It marked a shift in high design and performance – transitioning not only from road to trail, but also between fashion and function, utility and art. It was no surprise, then, that when we handed a couple of pairs of TheROCKER to Technical Biome – “a community united by passion for exploration and outerwear” – for a weekend field test, the outcome was more than just wear and performance testing: it was a story.

côte&ciel and NinepointNine come together for a collaboration centred around restraint, utility, and the quiet mechanics of everyday movement. Titled “Reach Beyond Boundaries | Resonate to the World”, the project approaches performance from a more grounded perspective, not as spectacle, but as something embedded into daily routines and constant motion through the city.
The collection reworks two of côte&ciel’s most recognisable silhouettes, the SARU and ISARAU, through a more technical and architectural lens. A layered water-resistant nylon with a subtle crinkled texture gives the bags a structured, sculptural appearance, while reflective white stitching quietly highlights the construction in low light without overpowering the design.
The accompanying campaign mirrors this balance between control and movement. Figures appear suspended mid-transition, with motion suggested rather than exaggerated, reinforcing the idea of functionality that exists naturally within everyday life rather than at its extremes.
The côte&ciel x NinepointNine collaboration debuts May 14 at côte&ciel’s Hysan Place pop-up in Hong Kong before releasing globally on May 21.

Db pushes deeper into the premium travel space with the launch of the Ramverk™ Alu, a fully aluminium hardcase built around the brand’s modular travel system. Based on the award-winning Ramverk™ Pro platform, the new case swaps generic off-the-shelf components for entirely custom-engineered parts, from the wheel housings to the edge frames and handles.
What stands out is the construction philosophy. A rivet-less exterior keeps the shell clean while making repairs and part replacements easier long term, something rarely prioritised in luggage design. The centre frame structure adds rigidity and impact resistance, while the unibody aluminium handle housing gives the case a noticeably solid feel in transit.
The photographs from the campaign were captured during extensive field testing in Arctic Svalbard, putting the luggage through some of the harshest travel conditions possible.
Db continues to blur the line between technical equipment and design-led travel gear, backed by its Scandinavian minimalism and growing presence in the luxury space.
