An update about the future of Tech Goes Home.

Friends,
Over the past 25 years, Tech Goes Home has played a leading role in efforts to close the digital divide in Massachusetts. TGH programs have reached more than 50,000 people, distributed tens of thousands of digital devices, and provided nearly 1 million hours of digital skills training.
Unfortunately, like so many other nonprofits across the country, TGH is facing an extremely challenging financial environment and a deeply uncertain future funding landscape. Despite our best efforts over many months, we have been unable to find a sustainable path forward, and we have made the incredibly difficult decision to wind down Tech Goes Home operations by February.
We are working actively to identify potential opportunities for some of TGH’s proven programming to carry on under a different organization, and to find a home for TGH’s curricular resources and the data we have collected over the years, so that they can be used to inform future efforts to close the digital divide. We will share updates as they become available via our LinkedIn page.
The work of closing the digital divide remains as necessary and urgent as ever. We thank you for your partnership, support, and friendship over the past 25 years, and for your continued commitment to the cause of digital equity.
Sincerely,
Dahlia Bousaid Cox
CEO

Chair, Tech Goes Home Board of Directors
As technology evolves faster than ever and becomes more intertwined with daily life, the urgency for Tech Goes Home’s work has never been greater.
Board Member Daisy Ortega knows firsthand that digital skills are public health skills – they help families access school updates, connect to care, and engage more fully in their communities.
Across Massachusetts, thousands of residents still lack the access, training and confidence to navigate essential online systems that shape health, education, and opportunity. Through the Time Is Now campaign, Tech Goes Home is working to expand programs that meet people where they are, build digital confidence and close the digital divide one learner at a time.

Every day, our lives become more connected to the digital world, but not everyone has the same access.
As we mark our 25th anniversary, Tech Goes Home is launching the Time Is Now campaign to raise $500,000 to expand digital access and essential skills training across Massachusetts.
We can’t let progress stall when it’s needed most. Together, we can ensure digital equity for all, creating pathways to opportunity and connection.

We are so excited to announce that Dahlia Bousaid Cox has been named the next CEO of Tech Goes Home! Dahlia originally joined the team in 2022 and rose to become interim CEO earlier this year. Throughout that time, she has provided steady, strategic leadership and worked closely with the TGH staff, the Board of Directors, partners, and funders to help TGH deliver on its core mission to close the digital divide in Massachusetts and beyond.
As TGH marks its 25th anniversary, we are thrilled to welcome Dahlia to this new role and excited about her vision and ability to lead Tech Goes Home into its next chapter. Congratulations, Dahlia!
Recently, the Tech Goes Home team had the honor of presenting to a cohort of 26 fellows from the @mandelawashfellowship for Young African Leaders at @bridgestateu . This fellowship brings emerging leaders from African countries to the United States for academic and leadership training. Together, we harnessed this international exchange of knowledge and expertise to discuss how Massachusetts-based initiatives can be adapted to bridge the digital divide globally, enhance employability, and foster long-term economic empowerment.
Tech Goes Home is grateful to be honored alongside our partner @netscoutinc as a recipient of the 2025 Community Collaborator Awards from @bostonbusinessjournal . The award recognizes our joint work in Boston & Lowell, which has provided over 2,000 individuals and families with digital skills, devices, and internet. Join us on Wednesday, September 10 from 5:30-8:30pm at Big Night Live to celebrate our partnership, alongside three other impactful honorees, and the Alan E. Lewis Alnoba CEO Social Leadership Award honoree, Bob Rivers of @easternbank . Read more about the Awards at the link in our bio.

Please join us in welcoming TGH’s newest board member, Daniel Enríquez Vidaña ! Daniel is a powerhouse in the nonprofit and tech sectors, bringing decades of lived and professional experience to our esteemed Board. As Executive Director of @enrootedu , a nonprofit dedicated to helping immigrant youth reach academic, career, and personal success, Daniel is driven by the belief that every immigrant student deserves the opportunity to define their future. That includes having the digital tools, access, and skills necessary to thrive in today’s world. Welcome to the TGH team, Daniel!
A big congratulations to more than a dozen TGH graduates who participated in digital skills courses facilitated by our valued partners at @northsuffolkcommunityservices ! Each graduate completed 15 hours of coursework taught in English and Spanish and is going home with a laptop or tablet, along with a hotspot and free internet for the next year, so they can continue to build their skills and confidence interacting with the digital world. We can't wait to see what their next chapter will be! #digitalinclusion #DigitalInclusion #digitalskills #digitalskillsforall
TOMORROW, TGH is at #NetInclusion25! Our very own Dahlia Bousaid Cox will join Dan (April) Feng, Jeffrey Abramowitz, Caitlin Schubert, and Devyn Greenberg to discuss and unpack an exciting partnership with corrections agencies and the work of helping incarcerated individuals gain vital digital skills.
Also, TGH's Mariette Ayala, Ph.D. will participate in an engaging discussion about best practices for teaching digital skills to adults.
