A bold beginning.
With over 1,000 participants, including 150 international delegates, gathered to shape the direction of Pakistan’s AI future - from sovereign compute and global collaboration to responsible innovation under the newly unveiled Islamabad AI Declaration.
The message was clear: AI is not a distant ambition. It is a present-day driver of growth, governance, and competitiveness.

Pakistan’s AI story goes global!
Addressing the inaugural ceremony of Indus AI Week 2026, the Honourable Prime Minister of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif, described the forum as a transformational moment for Pakistan’s technological future.
Highlighting collaboration with friendly nations and reflecting on reform-driven initiatives in education, healthcare, revenue systems, and youth empowerment, the Prime Minister positioned Indus AI Week as a catalyst for long-term, inclusive, and globally connected progress in the age of artificial intelligence.

The future of Pakistan’s tech landscape is female, and the commitment to that vision starts at the top.
At the AI For Her Pavilion during Indus AI Week, Federal Minister for IT and Telecom Shaza Fatima Khawaja shared a powerful message of solidarity and progress. Her address wasn't just about policy; it was a promise. She made it clear that for every woman breaking barriers in artificial intelligence, engineering, or digital entrepreneurship, this government stands as a backbone, not a hurdle.
This highlight reminds us that the future of Pakistan’s digital revolution will be written by women who refuse to be sidelined, and supported by leaders who refuse to let them stand alone.

When digital systems fail, economies feel it. Supply chains stall. Businesses go dark. Opportunities disappear. The connection between a stable digital infrastructure and a thriving economy is not theoretical. It is immediate, measurable, and deeply personal for every entrepreneur, freelancer, and enterprise that depends on connectivity to compete.
Thanks to the Ministry of IT and Telecom's vision, Pakistan's digital lifelines are stronger than ever. 205 million connected people. 234,000+ km of fiber. A 5G future already in motion. And a gender digital divide reduced from 38% to 25%, one of the largest such reductions globally.
PSEB's work lives inside that foundation. Software Technology Parks reaching Gilgit-Baltistan and AJK. Standardized ICT testing that levels the playing field regardless of where you are from. A cybersecurity community that held strong when Pakistan needed it most.
And we are just getting started.
This World Telecommunication and Information Society Day, on the theme of Digital Lifelines, PSEB reaffirms its commitment to that foundation. Because a more resilient digital Pakistan is a more resilient economy for everyone.

Komal Masood has spent 15 years solving problems most people don't even notice until they become crises. She is not a generalist. She finds broken systems, figures out what they actually need, and builds the thing.
Her most cited project is a good example. When Techlogix was awarded a World Bank contract to digitize case management for the Lahore High Court, most technologists would have seen a software problem. Komal saw a century's worth of paper, procedure, and institutional inertia sitting between millions of citizens and access to justice. The Case Management System she led became Pakistan's first LegalTech automation project at that scale. It worked.
That instinct, for finding where technology can actually move the needle on human outcomes carried into her next decade. She led more than 10 Oracle Campus Solutions deployments across ASEAN and South Asia, then joined Knowledge Streams to design AI-powered curricula and upskilling programs that placed over 1,000 graduates into roles from Lahore to the Bay Area.
She is now Head of Learning and Organizational Development at @tallymarksconsulting . In 2025, a professional mentorship with Amazon Web Services took her to the United States, where she worked directly with global teams on cloud architecture and Agentic AI. She brought that back.
The same year, the U.S. Department of State selected her as a TechWomen Emerging Leader, one of the few Pakistani women recognized in that cohort.
Komal's colleagues describe her as someone who reads data the way others read a room: she spots what's off before anyone else has finished their sentence. She leads with decisions, not meetings. For women navigating careers at the intersection of technology and organizational development, she is a concrete example of what that path can look like.
We are proud to feature Komal Masood as part of our ongoing commitment to highlighting the women reshaping Pakistan's technology landscape. Her work speaks for itself. We just wanted more people to hear it.

We've all been there. Fixed the bug in five minutes. Froze explaining it for fifty.
The best developers in the room aren't always the ones leading the room. And in a global market, the ones who can communicate, negotiate, and show up with confidence, those are the ones clients remember, and companies promote.

Pakistan Outshines 70+ Countries to Win the Cisco EMEA NetAcad Cup 2026!
Pakistan’s digital journey has reached a new peak on the international stage. We are proud to announce that the @sco_pk Mirpur and its @cisco Networking Academy have secured the 1st position at the Cisco EMEA NetAcad Cup 2026.
This was no small feat. Pakistan competed against more than 70 countries and 500 elite IT academies across Europe, the Middle East, and Africa. The competition tested advanced skills in Artificial Intelligence, Cybersecurity, and Industrial Networking, and our students emerged at the very top.
This success is the result of a massive push for digital inclusion. As part of our mission to enable every corner of the country, the Pakistan Software Export Board is proud to partner with the Special Communications Organization (SCO) in driving this digital revolution. Together, we have established an extensive network of IT centers and software technology parks across Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) and Gilgit-Baltistan (GB), including the region's first dedicated Women’s Software Technology Park. This robust infrastructure and our continued strategic support is providing the foundation for our youth to compete and win globally.
We congratulate the instructors, students, and the entire SCO team for bringing this trophy home. This achievement confirms what recent global indices have already suggested: Pakistan’s talent availability and technical proficiency are now among the best in the world. We continue to build a future where every corner of the country contributes to our status as a global digital powerhouse.
