Leadership can be isolating, which is exactly why spaces for honest conversations and real accountability matter. Dave Esau’s TEC Canada journey highlights the impact of surrounding yourself with peers who challenge your thinking, support your growth, and help you lead with more clarity and confidence. From strengthening culture at The Radius Group to evolving as a leader, Dave’s story is a great reminder that growth in business rarely happens in isolation. A thoughtful read on leadership, perspective, and the value of peer advisory. 👏 Read Dave’s story via the link in our bio 🔗 #TECCanada #Leadership #ExecutiveLeadership #BusinessGrowth

Values aren’t something you swap out every time business gets hard. In this TEC Cast with David S. Cohen, the conversation digs into what happens when leaders start bending their beliefs to survive uncertainty. A good reminder that strategy can evolve, but integrity shouldn’t have to. 👏

There’s something special about the relationships built around the TEC table. Seeing group 280 reunited is a reminder that leadership isn’t just about building successful businesses, it’s about the people, trust, and impact created along the way. Since 2014, these members have helped shape careers, support families, and strengthen their communities through their leadership. A great reflection on the lasting power of peer advisory and taking a chance on growth. 👏 #TECCanada #BusinessLeadership #PeerAdvisory

Most of us clock out — but our thoughtload doesn't. 🧠 It follows us home. To the dinner table. To bed. And back to work the next morning carrying everything we never put down. 💡 I always ask: just like you put your keys in the little dish at the front door — how do you put your work thoughtload in that dish so you can be fully present? And it goes both ways. The stress of parenting, worrying about an aging parent, the weight of life — that follows you to work too. The problem isn't that you don't care enough. It's that you're carrying too much to show up fully anywhere. That's the real cost of a high thoughtload. Not just burnout at work — but presence stolen from the people who matter most. My new book Thoughtload is out this May — and this is exactly the conversation I wrote it for. 📖 Watch more from The Leadership Standard episode ➡️ Link in bio. 👇 Where do you find it hardest to leave work at the door? #Thoughtload #LeadershipStandard #MentalLoad #BurnoutRecovery #WorkLifeBalance #LeadershipDevelopment #ExecutiveLeadership #TeamCulture #CognitiveLoad #MindfulLeadership #WorkplaceWellness

Emotional intelligence isn’t fixed, it’s built over time 🧠 In this TEC Cast, Jillian McLaughlin breaks down how EQ actually develops, why awareness is just the starting point, and how tools like the EQ-i 2.0 show where you’re overusing (or underusing) key skills. The takeaway? Growth doesn’t happen without intention or accountability. Coaching, mentorship, and actually practicing this stuff is what moves the needle. In an AI-driven world, human skills aren’t optional, they’re your edge.

How many smiles did we spot at NMC? A lot 😄 We're still grinning looking back at the photos from two weeks ago at our 2026 National Member Conference. One of those rooms you had to be in. Psst… stay tuned for our recap blog. If you had FOMO, it’s probably about to get worse. #TECCanada #Leadership #NMC2026
