After an unforgettable 2025 season, The Art Cave is proud to return as the curator of the Kippies Fringe Programme at the Market Theatre for 2026.
Last year we witnessed fearless storytelling, bold experimentation and artists who truly ran the show. This year, we open the doors once again for a new wave of creatives ready to take the stage.
If you have a live performance idea that is daring, intimate and alive, this is your invitation.
Whether it’s spoken word, stand-up comedy, music, poetry, or fringe theatre - Kippies is a space to test work, challenge form, and connect with audiences at one of South Africa’s most iconic theatre homes.
Only 12 slots will be selected for the 2026 season.
This is more than a performance opportunity, it’s a platform for voices that refuse to wait for permission.
We warmly invite creatives from across the country to step forward and Just Run The Show.

THE DAY IS HERE. 🎬🔥
Where I come from, we’d huddle around the heater and the TV - cousins, neighbours, friends, all packed in one room, watching stories unfold.
We laughed, we cried, we fell in love with characters. We hated the villains. We rooted for the underdogs. And more than anything… we believed.
Movies gave us hope. They helped us imagine.
And when we saw our favourite actors? We celebrated them like family.
Today… I am one of them. And I gather with my people for this moment. 😁
I’ve not only met the people I grew up watching - I’ve worked with them.
And now, I’ve contributed to a story that will live on to give hope, spark belief, and fire up dreams in someone else.
In 2021, fresh out of drama school, I drew my vision board.
Right there, I placed the Netflix logo.
I didn’t know how or when… I just knew.
God is great. And dreams backed by purpose do come true.

I’m big on asking how I want things done and if I don’t get the answer I’m looking for, I become the answer. I’m just that kid from from a little township - Villa Liza, Boksburg, 1459 - the one who turns vision into movement, and movement into momentum.
Grad isn’t just a ceremony - it’s a checkpoint on the journey to everything I said I’d become. What’s next? Bigger steps. Louder faith. Sharper focus. #building

I’m always excited for a new era, a new phase, and a new challenge.
In April, we put out a call for an internship position at our company @_art_cave - the very first opportunity of its kind at The Art Cave.
Back in 2020, my friend @kingsmszwide - now my business partner and I founded The Art Cave. When we started, we were the interns ourselves. We learned everything on the job… and honestly, we still are. Every experience continues to teach us something new.
Recently, we ran interviews ourselves, and let me tell you m - we truly did our homework. The process was smooth, professional, and successful, but more than that, it felt like an examination of our own growth.
So yes… we really HR’d this thing 😅
I genuinely love the work that we do, and I love witnessing the extension and growth taking place through TAC. Stay tuned, there’s still so much more to come.

A new month, new objectives - the same Play.
