👉 When snow covers the ground, it creates a barrier that traps heat in the soil below, preventing it from freezing too deeply. This insulation helps trees retain warmth around their roots, which is crucial for surviving winter’s harsh temperatures. Without this snowy shield, trees might face more stress and damage in the coldest months.

We are planting 25,000 native mangrove and coastal forest trees across the Mazatenango Coast with our partners at the @arbordayfoundation and @erarestores . This work is crucial as it is helping restore the mangrove estuary habitat.
