In honor of Nurses Week, we asked families in our community to share a nurse who made a lasting impact on their journey. Kyndall, from our community, shared a story about Mia from Day Hospital.
Kyndall said it’s hard to pick just one nurse, but Mia stood out for her sweet spirit, contagious smile, listening ear, and the way she showed up with strength and care. Every time she walked into chemo and heard Mia was her nurse for the day, it brought comfort and even a bit of excitement.
Nurses like Mia helped Kyndall see her own future differently. She now hopes to become a pediatric oncology nurse. 💛
