We have just released a new work by MeyanDR @_meyandr_ , the project of Brussels percussionist and producer Jan Heirman (M.Chuzi @m.chuzi / Okkupeerder @okkupeerder ). He brings a blend of industrial electronics and fractured breakbeats, woven with threads of global classical music, hyperactive rhythms and glitchy sound fragments.
The album "Ensnared In Sensory Experience" explores the boundaries of perception itself. Each track title forms part of a synesthetic poem where sight becomes touch, sound takes on fragrance and thought acquires flavor. This sensory confusion reveals a deeper truth: we are bound to our senses to experience reality, they offer only a narrow window into the experiential world that lies beyond our perception.
This album draws inspiration from the haunting and sonically charged territories of experimental artists such as Burial, KingL Man and Muqata'a. Influences from glorified Iranian artists Googoosh and Hayedeh further enrich the sound. most visible in the tracks "Hearing the scent of fresh blossoms" and "While the scent of voices lingers."

Marcia Gudo - Deeply rooted in Mozambican traditional dances, Marcia has explored everything from contemporary to ballet to traditional African styles. She merges movements with ease and her energy is absolutely contagious!
Rodrigo Neves - Brazilian percussionist specializing in Capoeira (angoleiros do mar) and Maracatu (baque de chuva). This year’s champion of the Brazilian Maracatu competition in Recife, playing with Nação Estrela Brilhante do Recife - one of the most traditional Maracatu groups in Brazil.
TROMKLUB - Brussels’ epicenter of rhythm. This collective of percussive heavyweights - Veronica Campos, Leo Batuki, Suchet Malhotra & Jan Heirman - beats their drums and summons worlds together, both on stage and in the streets. Their sound is a rhythmic explosion rooted in African, Brazilian and Indian traditions that invites your legs and hands to join the clave.
Expect drums, energy, and pure fire.
