. 🏅 Race News! Team Cherwell Triathlon Club Ironman Mallorca set in what is known as the "training paradise for triathletes" and boasting one of the largest Ironman 70.3 events in the world. Beth Wagland and her fiancé Peter Ribbins competed together in this iconic race from the bay of Alcudia and through the mountains of Serra de Tramuntana. Both facing a few hurdles along the way and Peter carrying an injury. Nothing stopped them from running down that famous red carpet! Beth - 6.19.39 Peter - 6.59.19 Bidwells Oxford Town and Gown 10k Started in 1982 this charity event on behalf of muscular dystrophy, inspired by Daniel Cleaver, a local boy with the disease. It is a closed road event through the streets of Oxford with a fast and flat route. Greg Heath after recovering from the London Marathon raced an incredible PB of 49 mins 42 seconds! #triclub #triathlete #triathlon #multisport #Banbury

Team Cherwell Cycling Sportive Sue Willis and Debi Coles took on the famous Mallorca 312 which gives you the option of three different distances over the mountains. Freezing cold at the start in the dark and glorious sunshine at the end. It really was an epic day of 200km with 2300m of climbing. Malc Rose and his friends have been riding together and planning their complete circuit of Mallorca for a few years and finally took on the challenge. Taking 11 hours and 23 mins with 4000m of climbing. An epic day out and a great map! Ozzie, Dawn and her sister Jane travelled up to Etap Loch Ness for the stunning 106km loop around the lake on traffic free roads. Another glorious day! #triclub #triathletes #Banbury #cycling

Maggie 8th TS2 F Jerome 17th TS2 M Elsie 10th TS2 F Ryan 4th TS3 M Libby 5th TS3 F Georgie 6th TS3 F - also her 1st triathlon! Gisela - 3.13.57 and Greg 4.15.47. . 🏅 Race News Stratford Triathlon Five team members raced at this local annual Sprint Triathlon on a cold but gorgeous spring morning. Jan and husband Lee both getting a PB on the course! Nick de Pennington finished 1st in his AG and 17th overall. 1.00.45 Peter Ribbins 8th in AG. 1.07.29 Lee Davies 6th in AG with a course PB. 1.12.55 Mel Thompson had a bit of a tricky swim with lots of elbows! But she carried on and finished strong in 1.28.45 Jan Davies 6th in AG with a course PB. 1.31.10 Manchester Marathon Mabel Shepherd joined the 28,000 runners taking part in her first Marathon. . 🏅 Race News Team Cherwell Triathlon Club Sarah Shepherd at the London Landmarks Half Marathon. "It seems the autumn was a long time ago when I signed up for this event raising funds for Dementia UK. I am lucky to say I enjoyed the training mostly and actually looked forward to race day. Despite getting tearful as I went into the pen (not sure why really) I had the biggest grin on my face. The weather was perfect for me to get round the sights of London! The crowds really do carry you around and what I remember the most is how many charities were being represented. So many of them for so many worth causes. 💕 A great day out, and would highly recommend the event to any one. If I can have two stand out moments from the LLMH is first getting my PB (2.06.55) and secondly today reaching my target of £1000 raised." Luke Rondel at the Brighton Marathon. This rolling terrain classic with sweeping sea views was Luke's second Marathon. He had an incredible PB of 3.16.41. He has the goal of sub 3 hours firmly in his sights! Rich Hughes at the Leamington Spa 10k. Hilly and windy day out in our local Spa Town, taking it steady managed a seasonal best of just over the hour. Ally Anstee raced at Mallory Park race circuit in her return to Duathlon in their 2027 World Sprint Distance Qualifier. The Natural Spring Water Challenge David Osbourne took part in this annual event, held in the goethermally heated, natural spring fed Lido at the New Bath Hotel in Derbyshire. Swim one mile every hour for 12 hrs! The water temperature was 18 degrees, totally natural, with no heating apart from the water that goes in one end and out the other, chemical free. The outside air temperature was just 8 degrees with sunshine, rain and wind! Congratulations to Ozzie! You really are an inspiration! #triclub #endurance #swim #triathlontraining #Oxfordshire

We had wind, cold, thrills and spills, lost shoes and wrong turns but lots of smiles and great results all round! The Ladies.. Amy Cox took the fastest bike and run splits with Bridget Gould having the fastest swim. Amy Cox - 1.15.05 2nd overall and 2nd in AG. Bridget Gould - 1.19.54 5th overall and 3rd in AG. Maddie Prendergast - 1.19.56 6th overall and 4th in AG Beth Wagland - 1.20.57 7th overall and 5th in AG. Ellie Gladwyn - 1.22.27 9th overall and 6th in AG. Malc Rose - 1.13.47 8th overall and an AG win. Alex Birch - 1.16.28 11th overall and 2nd in AG. Luke Rondel - 1.16.43 12th overall and 7th in AG. Guy Houchen - 1.16.59 13th overall and 3rd in AG. . 🏅 Race News Team Cherwell Triathlon Club Wolverhampton 10k Two of our coaches headed up to the West Midlands for this closed road event that starts and finishes at the Premier League Molineux Stadium. Ruth Evans was a fantastic 3rd in AG finishing in 48.31. Greg Heath an impressive 12th in AG 50.18. Lee Davies and Ally Anstee taking their training accross to Hyrox. Lee headed over to Copenhagen in his first solo event giving it everything and finishing 2nd in AG. Ally also competed solo at Olympia in London and even though she ran two extra laps was 11th in AG. #triclub #triathlontraining #multisport #hyrox #Banbury

Team Cherwell Juniors Triathlon Club English National Schools cross country championships. Connor Parsons competed as part of a team of eight boys from Oxfordshire and with an incredible 5k time of 17.58 was 170th overall and had been seeded as 8th in the region but he came home in 5th. He was one of the youngest in his race. An incredible achievement, all that hard work training with the adult squad has paid off! #triclub #crosscountryrunning #triathlon #running #triathlontraining
