As many of you already know, I’ve been a huge fan of Steve Anderson for quite some time. When I started competitive shooting a little over a year ago, his podcast immediately stood out—his energy, positivity, and mindset were exactly what I wanted to surround myself with. That uplifting approach has been a big part of my journey, and I strive to carry that same energy every day.
Now, why this introduction? Well, yesterday didn’t go exactly as planned in terms of results, but it was an incredible learning experience. One thing I was reminded of is that growth comes from pushing limits, and when you’re working speed mode—especially in a three-stage match—you won’t always be perfect. Sometimes, you outrun your headlights, and that’s okay because it means you’re exploring the edges of your potential.
The best part? I saw a level of performance that I usually only hit when I deliberately focus on speed. What excites me the most is realizing just how much more I can see and process than I give myself credit for. I can feel a breakthrough coming, and I know I’m on the right track. Big things are ahead—we’ll just have to wait and see!
