It’s a study in precision, light-matter interaction, and the fluidity of digital-physical convergence. @digitalfun_2019 @teacommunity_cn It is our latest R&D project: a kinetic light installation featuring the @dobotrobotics collaborative robotic arm CR3. By mounting a prism to the end-effector and integrating @touchdesigner as our central nervous system, we’ve synchronized the robotic movement with dynamic laser projections. This is just the first iteration of an ongoing exploration. Kicking off 2026 with a massive upgrade! @touchdesigner evolves with the 2025 build and the introduction of the powerful POP operators, @teacommunity_cn TEA Community has fully revamped our 5-day offline course to match. We spent a lot of time thinking about how to demystify POPs and combine them with practical cases for our community. We decided to integrate POP into audio-visual interaction using Arduino, DMX LED strips, stage lighting, and lasers. From real-time visual creation to hardware control, we focused on breaking down key operators and Attributes. It was amazing to see even zero-basis students unlock a whole new world within TouchDesigner 2025! Beyond the new tech, our Shanghai session kept the classic favorites: gesture interaction with Leap Motion & MediaPipe plugin by @blankensmithing , and Generative AI workflows with ComfyUI. We also took the experience outside the classroom with a visit to the Deep Space 8K center at the @westbundmuseum and a hands-on hardware tour featuring Lidar, EEG sensors, and AI interaction in our @digitalfun_2019 studio. Here’s to a fantastic start to 2026!
