Last year, James was recognised for the extraordinary transformation he led after becoming Headteacher in 2021. When James took over as Headteacher, his school needed rapid change. Through honesty, teamwork and unwavering belief in staff and pupils, he led an incredible transformation, turning outcomes from the bottom 15% nationally to the top 15%.
Today, students say they feel safe, proud and happy to be part of their school, while staff describe a renewed sense of purpose and energy. His leadership has improved results and rebuilt a community.
