University Dr., Fort Worth, TX 76129 ⭐️Reception TONIGHT Thursday, May 7, 6-8 pm; on view May 4-8 🎟 Admission is free and all are welcome Inspired by club culture and counterculture fashion, Hirsch explores the bold forms of self-expression that emerge from underground and alternative settings in "Unicorns, Rainbows, and Fishnets." Her larger-than-life sculptures are designed to evoke a sense of awe. Recurring motifs such as unicorns, rainbows, and fishnets appear throughout the exhibition alongside bold fabrics, platform boots, and a pink stripper heel. #TCUArt #GoFrogs #MoudyGallery #ContemporarySculpture #ArtEvent #FortWorthArt #ClubCulture #Fasion #Unicorns #Rainbows #Fishnets

We're excited to feature artist and TCU BFA Sculpture Senior Rani Hirsch! Her thesis exhibition will be on view at Moudy Gallery May 4-8 with a reception Thursday, May 7 from 6-8 pm. Read more about her below! Born in Miami, Florida, and living transiently, Hirsh considers home a feeling rather than a place. Hirsch is a multimedia artist that creates large-scale, playful sculptures using a range of materials. Her earliest inspiration was her mother, whom she describes as her “party superhero,” and who sparked her love of parties, festivals, clubs, and dance music from a young age. Hirsch has exhibited in various shows across the Dallas–Fort Worth area, including College Expo at 500 X Gallery in Dallas. She is the recipient of the Emily Guthrie Smith and Samuel P. Ziegler Scholarships, both awarded in recognition of exceptional artistic talent, and is a four-time grant recipient at TCU. Professionally, she has worked with William Campbell Gallery and the Art Galleries at TCU, assisted artists Austin Lewis, Terri Thorton, and Shane Umbach, and contributed to the EDC Las Vegas art department. After graduation, Hirsch plans to move to New York to continue exploring her love of art and nightlife. 📸 photo by Haylee Salopek @salovisions #TCUStudents #FortWorthArt #ContemporarySculpture #GoFrogs #ContemporaryArt #TCUArt #ArtEvent
