20 from 2024 | Another year on Barry Island 🏝️
I’ve been looking back at some photos from last year and trying to put something together before the next season of photography begins. It’s my 3rd year of regularly taking photos on the Island and I’m somehow still finding things to take photos of so I’m excited to see what comes in this year
🙌
10 from 2023 📸
Looking back through the year these were the posts that got the most traction, they’re not necessarily the best photos or my personal favourites but proves maybe you’re not the best person to judge your own work (all images were part of their own series, something I tried to stick to and found pretty challenging but rewarding too). Let me know if you have a favourite.
So thanks everyone for the support this year and sticking with me, some exciting things to come next year for sure! Let’s have a great 2024 🙌

We’re on YouTube!
In the fifth instalment of season two we transition by moving into a video. You can watch us talk about the responsibility of the photographer is not to show everything but to choose what matters. In our latest conversation with @tcols , we discuss the burden of the thousand-photo delivery and why being a ruthless editor is the most important skill you can develop as an artist. If the digital gallery is just an archive, the book is the final statement. We explore why the physical object remains the ultimate goal for any documentary project.
