Rip my pit firing, I will miss printing money but not the carcinogens or sweating into a barrel while desperately stoking a fire. Shout out homeless guys, who I was mostly indistinguishable from at the time and @snatchboxstudio for providing the barrel originally. Come by Garden of the Gods Saturday and Sunday to see what could be the last of my pit fired work for a while!

Number two of three of a recent set of pit fired bottles that I shipped off to Bozeman for display. Fired with table salt, coffee grounds, and copper carb. #pitfire #ceramics #alternativefiring

Celadon Rubble Moon Jar - 14” x 12” Branching out more into a different style than the typical alternative firings I do but still feels on brand to me. Email for serious inquiries only.

Pit fired bottle with copper mesh 11” x 4” I think my favorite piece from the last firing. Good results and good placement with the colors. Had some banana peels beneath the mesh in some spots but didn’t get any results from that, not sure if just didn’t get hot enough but time will tell. More info on my site. #ceramics #pitfire #alternativefiring

Pit fired bottle with long neck - 13” x 7” Good results from the last firing, here’s to hoping fire season isn’t so bad this year and it remains safe to keep cooking them up. More info available on my site. #pitfire #ceramics

Second of two moon jars, of this size, progress right now. Excited to push the scale a bit for some more surface area to play around with, these are about 16” before additions. #wip #cny

Good results with this Tenmoku glaze on a bamboo style bowl. I don’t do a ton of functional work these days but it’s nice to switch things up a bit.
