TCB, joined by Mayor Brandon Johnson, Alderman Pat Dowell, leaders from the Illinois Housing Development Authority, Chicago Housing Authority and other project partners, celebrated the groundbreaking of Southbridge 1C, our new 12-story, mixed-income residential and commercial building in Chicago’s South Loop neighborhood. The 76,000-square-foot development will include 80 new apartment homes and ground-floor retail space on a transit-oriented site adjacent to the CTA Green Line and near multiple bus routes. New neighbors are officially moving into Preserve on Ash in North Corktown. 🏡✨
This new affordable, mixed-income housing development is bringing nearly 600 homes to the community, made possible by a $30 million HUD Choice Neighborhoods grant awarded to the City of Detroit. Phase I includes 69 new units with income-restricted and voucher-supported housing—helping more Detroiters access safe, stable places to call home.

@cityofindianapolis Mayor Hogsett joined The Community Builders, Mapleton Fall Creek Development Corporation (MFCDC) and partners to break ground at Central@ 29. The new four-story development in the Mapleton Fall Creek neighborhood will provide 57 affordable homes, including 11 homes reserved for individuals emerging from homelessness. Residents will also have access to supportive services from partners such as Raphael Health Center. #affordablehousing
