Last year, one festivalgoer finally decided to come to The British Country Music Festival on her own after years of wanting to go, but always waiting for someone to go with. Lisa (the lady in red) ended up having “one of the best weekends” she’d had in years, met new friends, discovered loads of new artists, and even convinced her metal-loving husband to join her for a day… who then went on to fall in love with Tara MacLean’s music 🤠 Since then, they’ve gone on to plan to attend more independent festivals together, including Bloodstock Open Air, as her husband is a metal fan - all sparked by taking that first step and coming to TBCMF. One line from her email really stuck with us: “Friendly people, no egos, just lots of people who love country music.” Thank you for sharing your story, Lisa! We’re proud to support #FirstFestivalWeek2026 with @aif_uk , celebrating the UK’s vibrant independent scene. Support your local independent festival and find many of our festival friends on a map of the UK on the Here.live website. Which independent festival will you add to your timeline?

Hard to believe how far things have come 🤠 As part of #FirstFestivalWeek2026 with the @aif_uk , we’ve been reflecting on the journey of The British Country Music Festival - from our first outing in 2019 to where we are now. What started as a spark of an idea has grown into something with real heart and influence. Many of the grassroots artists we have supported over the last seven years have developed into main stage artists touring in their own right. The line-ups have evolved, and the community around the festival has grown stronger each year. If you were there in the early days, you’ll know… and if you’ve joined us more recently, you’re part of that story too. 🤍 Which of these member festivals have you attended on the link below? Which ones are you considering supporting? We are all working together for the good of live music. Find out more about the campaign and support independent festivals on the Firstfestival.info website.

📸 We Need Your TBCMF Memories! ✨ We’re proud to be part of the @aif_uk #FirstFestivalWeek2026 - a nationwide celebration of the UK’s incredible independent music festivals. One of the things we love most at The British Country Music Festival is watching artists grow. There’s something really special about seeing someone on our stages before the rest of the world catches on… and that only happens because of amazing supporters like you. So, we’d love you to join in and help us celebrate the memories we’ve made together over the years 🤠 Were we your first festival? Do you have photos or videos from that first experience? Maybe early performances from artists who’ve gone on to do big things, special moments, or memories from unforgettable sets at the Winter Gardens? 📱 Tag us or re-share your favourite TBCMF posts 💬 Tag your festival friends and tell us about your favourite memories We’ll be sharing as many as we can throughout the week ❤️ Find out more on the firstfestival.info website.

Bristol’s own @ben_hutchesonmusic is part of the exciting new wave shaping UK country music 🇬🇧 Blending modern Nashville-style production with honest, homegrown storytelling, he’s been quietly building real momentum, from millions of streams to sold-out shows across the UK, plus a UK Country Song of the Year nomination along the way. His sound is polished but personal. Songs about real life, relationships, and those everyday moments we all recognise, delivered with a warmth that makes it easy to connect. From festival stages to intimate acoustic sets, Ben knows how to win over a crowd… and on Saturday at The British Country Music Festival, he’s bringing that energy to the Arena Stage. Want to get to know him a little better? 👉 Head to the link in our bio.

Bold, exciting and impossible to ignore, @tayneelord has become one of the standout names in UK country music. Hailing from Bristol, Taynee blends Americana influences with a modern edge, creating a sound that moves effortlessly between country storytelling, rock energy, and pop hooks. The result? Music that feels just as at home on UK festival stages as it does on Nashville playlists. Taynee’s rise gathered real momentum after being nominated for British Country Airplay Artist of the Year in 2019, the same year she made her television debut with her band on Sky TV’s UK Americana Bar Show. Her single No God Of Mine went on to reach No.1 on the UK iTunes Country Chart and picked up more than 30,000 Spotify streams, helping earn the band an invitation to perform for Glastonbury founder Michael Eavis on the Pilton Stage. She later went on to headline Glastonbury Calling Festival in 2022. With acclaimed new releases, industry recognition, and growing momentum behind her, Taynee heads to The British Country Music Festival ready to close the Arena Stage on Saturday in style. 🔥 🔗 Discover more about Taynee on the link in our bio.

A lovely Q&A with @smithandliddle - a rising UK duo bringing together classic rock, soft country and those easy-going West Coast sounds we all know and love. Think rich harmonies, warm guitars and a style that feels wonderfully nostalgic, but still fresh. They’ll be opening the Horseshoe Pavilion on Saturday at The British Country Music Festival 2026 - a perfect way to start your day at the festival.
