Sofa Mosque 🕌
Sofa Mosque was built for public use by Sultan Mahmud II (1808 - 1839) and it was built in the imperial style. Hanging above the door of the mosque is an inscription indicating that Sultan Abdulmecid (1839 - 1861) had repaired it in 1275/1858. It was built in place of The Kiosk of the Swordbearer (Silahdar Köşkü). It has beautiful views of the Bosphorus River.

Sofa Ocağı denilen koğuş halkının kullanımı için Sultan II. Mahmud (1808-1839) tarafından ampir uslupta inşa ettirilmiştir. Cami kapısının üzerinde 1275/1858' de Sultan Abdülmecid (1839-1861) tarafından tamir edildiğini belirten kitabesi vardır. Caminin yerinde daha önce Silahdar Köşkü bulunmaktaydı.
