For this bedroom, we designed every piece—including the headboard, bedframe, and matching wardrobe—drawing inspiration from Japandi and Wabi-Sabi aesthetics. The result is a unique sanctuary defined by clean, modern lines.

Built by R&R Schultz Custom Homes, this home features a sophisticated yet inviting atmosphere, thanks to the vision of architect @marka.architecture and design by @taysandcodesign .

I’ve been told to take a moment to slow down and celebrate our wins (something I’m quite bad at doing) so today we are doing just that! Speaking of weekend tasks…this custom soap stone sink used in our Gull Lake project laundry room elevates the laundry experience if you ask us! The gorgeous contrasting brass faucet by @rohlbrand isn’t bad either.

We feel the weekend rolling in and are ready for a little r&r after a full week in Round Top, TX 🤠, followed by two jammed packed studio days immediately upon our return!
Today is full of meetings! Our regular weekly meeting with the team on our #EuropeanCottage project, a new client in take meeting for a special project we are very excited about, and an appointment at the Derm to get spot frozen off before it becomes an issue! Happy weekending ya’ll!

For me a favorite styling piece will remain a collection of books gathered over time. Maybe a souvenir from a place traveled, there to remind you of moments slowed down, or an heirloom passed down from a loved one that makes you smile every time you walk passed, or just a book full pages to inspire you. Styling your home doesn’t always have to be overthought. Meaningful bits such as these often carry the most weight🤎📚

The Great Room at our Interlachen Modern Lakehouse—wrapped in perfectly aged antique elm, complete with wormholes, knots, and natural checking. A sandy limestone wall brings beautiful depth and contrast, anchored by a plaster fireplace and custom leather bench alongside. Without even yet mentioning this custom 15-light chandelier—the jewelry of the space. ✨

Step inside the theater at our Interlachen Modern Lakehouse and you're immediately wrapped in mood. This incredible piece of art by @paulmeyerstudios anchors the hall, setting the tone before you even reach the theater. Inside, a Roman clay ceiling envelops the room, while a deep-stained stacked wood wall grounds the bar in rich texture. Seating is abundant in this space—bar seating, cozy bouclé chaises, and custom wood bunks—creating a space that feels intimate, indulgent, and entirely transportive. A place where the whole family can settle in for the night.
