Dear Effervescent Linguists, As I hand over my position as NALLS Social Secretary, I reflect on a journey that began with a manifesto I never planned to write and a position I never planned to occupy. I was nominated by well-meaning stakeholders who had recognised my activeness, participation, and contributions to the department. That appointment became both a challenge and a call to service, and I sincerely appreciate President Fola Ayanwale for his executive appointment. 🫡 In my manifesto, I promised not to choke us with unnecessary activities or discard the initiatives of my predecessors, but rather to sustain and revamp existing structures while introducing fresh strategies to improve our socials. Looking back, though it wasn’t without challenges, I can proudly say we achieved a lot together. We consistently put NALLS/LAAS on the map, and we really had a nice time socially! 🎯 ✅ Despite tight schedules, limited funds, and the pressure of multiple commitments, I ensured no role was neglected. At times, it was draining, but the vision kept me going, and what we have achieved now stands as a foundation for future administrations to build upon. ⚡️💯 I wish the ‘new takers,’ Team SPECTRA, led by Akinteye Tijesunimi (SYNERGY’s Gen. Sec.) and my successor, Daniel Showunmi (Social SYNERGY Member), the very best. They are not new to the system, and I am confident that greater things are ahead for NALLS/LAAS. I hope we all give them even more support than I enjoyed during my own time. ❤️⚡️ To my fellow ‘old takers’ in the SYNERGY Team 😂, every volunteer, and everyone who participated in our social initiatives, thank YOU for all the support. E no go spoil for una. Thank you. 🙏⚡️ Finally, for the record, I am proud to say that every initiative was delivered with a plan, a proposal, a budget, and a financial report, making them not just impactful but also handover-worthy and sustainable. So as I hand over today, I do so with gratitude and fulfilment. I pray the new administration takes it higher. Thank you! 📝❤️ ✍️⚡️: Yours-in-effervescence, T9 ADELEKE. Outgoing NALLS Social Secretary. 04/10/2025.

The VISION I Carried, Even in Defeat! X My FASA Presidency MANIFESTO! ⚡️⚡️⚡️ I didn’t run for FASA President because of the title. I ran because I believed in a vision, a purposeful, service-driven leadership plan that I’ve been evidently living out since my 100L days. Even without having in mind that I was going to run for any school election (this was my first time ever running for a political post). —— I faced a formidable alliance of 4 vs 2, backed by incumbency, early strategy/campaign, and huge numbers. But I fought with nothing but truth, impactful track record, and genuine supporters… and we pulled those results that will be remembered. TOO PROUD OF MY FASAITES! My FASA presidency wasn’t meant to happen, I accept, in good fate. But my love for FASA? It’s evidently ACTIVE. I remain ACTIVE, committed, and ready to continue making impacts, even without holding a political post. My decision to run and my campaign was evidently REVOLUTIONARY. That’s a win too. Faculty of Arts’ elections or campaigns will never be the same again! The standards have been revolutionized! I showed workings! I proved a lot! Throughout my campaign, I say boldly again, not for once did I smear or insult my opponent or anyone. All I stood on was my own gospel of a verifiable track record of credibility and service which my campaign was built upon. Hold me accountable for my actions and my words. The votes I earned were genuine, powered by my people: @nallsunilag , @shsnunilag , and truly enviable FASAites from @napsunilag , @naselsunilag , @nassorsunilag , @elissaunilag who saw the truth like everybody else, but honorably decided to stand by it regardless of the sentiments. GENUINELY GRATEFUL FOR YOU GUYS! ❤️⚡️ BIG CONGRATULATIONS to @itsbolaji_ . My heart remains clear, my respect remains intact, and my love for FASA remains ACTIVE. Attached is the manifesto I built my campaign on. The vision that will outlive this moment. ✍️⚡️: Yours sincerely, ADELEKE, Adetayo Sherif (T9). ‘25/26 FASA Presidential Aspirant Cc @insidefasa @nallsunilag @laas_classof2023 @unilaglaas_28 @shsnunilag
