Looking back on 2025 with a full heart, tired eyes, and a lot of excitement for 2026. Here are 20 photos to try and recap the year. So many memories are missing but here they are. And hereâs what happened.
A new role with @amasestays
A baby boy joining our family this spring.
A big move west to Spokane guided by a lot of prayer and trust.
We miss our people in North Carolina and hold them close even from afar.
Maybe we will be organized enough for a Christmas card next year.
Snagged this 2005 Giant TCR from @ripplebikes this week (Thanks River.) This thing caught my eye and I couldnât resist. Took it on its maiden voyage today. These old school cool 23cm tires were so much different than 47cm Pathfinders. Rim brakes and that epic spray effect is đŽâđ¨ has the fancy rim brakes for when stopping is optional-ish

I have so many photos and videos that will probably never see the light of day. I started the year wanting to create and share more often. Still plenty of time, eh?
Early Mernin sunrise pedal with @derekstipe and Bart. That was the sunrise that just wouldnât stop. Seemed like if lasted for an hour.
Running some tests with the little Dji Osmo pocket 3 in my frame bag. Makes for some smooth shots but with gloves on it was pretty hard to use the little touch screen.

Sometimes I donât even notice how quickly the leaves fall. Obviously this fall in #wnc has been a wild one so I didnât get out as much as I would have liked. Winter is coming and that means naked trees looking all cold and gray until spring.
Welp, yesterday I went on a fun ride and brought my little drone. I was testing the follow mode for some future projects where itâll come in handy (potentially) and it did not work how I thought it would. Wide open road it slammed right into a tree. Surely, Iâm missing something because the obstacle avoidance on it is usually super good. Didnât even get to test it on the beautiful gravel descent. #dji #dronevideo #crash #cyclinglifestyleđ´đ˝đ´đ˝ #fail
