1 Year Ownership Write Up:
It’s officially been one year since I’ve my owned my 4th Gen Toyota Tacoma TRD OR Premium. I had originally looked at GMC Sierra 1500 Elevation, Ford F-150 STX & Volvo XC90.
It has been my daily for the last 12,000 miles and it’s been alright, from moving an entire apartment in Boston to 1,000 pounds of mulch, the truck has taken it like a champ.
For $500/mo really can’t complain- you get heated & cooled seats, all the safety features, tons of cameras as well as an amazingly huge and responsible infotainment system paired with ToyotaCare really make it’s hard to beat. The leases on them are extremely cheap now too if you hunt alittle.
The worst part about this truck has been the fuel economy and it’s not just for the 4th Gen Tacoma but overall the Toyota Portfolio for they’re turbo motors, the new fuel system and tanks on these things completely suck, I’m lucky to see 230+ miles on a tank.
Overall good truck, probably won’t buy another Toyota product for a while till they fix the fuel consumption & range issues.
