I had such a great time at the @flowers4qts event last night! I’m forever grateful for the queer spaces that allow me to fully show up as myself! This was the first time I got to show my visual art and DJ at the same event and it was INCREDIBLE 💖 EXTRA special thank you to my babe @zipporahdraws for being my table partner and for being my number 1 fan taking videos of my set ❤️🔥 I’m so excited to get to DJ and vend at more events this year!

bbs first gallery piece ❤️🔥 here’s my artist statement for the piece and some pictures from the gallery opening: This work was created out of ongoing frustrations, anxieties, and hopelessness that permeates in response to the over-policing of Black communities in the US. 1312 was constructed without the use of machinery and created entirely by hand in order to channel the artist’s energy into creation rather than destruction. The piece asks viewers to consider the intention behind each ring and stitch that makes up this piece as the artist reflected on the Black lives lost and disruption due to police violence, and to dream of a world where police are abolished.
Finished up this banner today and submitted it for a show 🥹 I love creating these bigger pieces and experimenting with new materials like the jump rings and felt in here 1️⃣3️⃣1️⃣2️⃣ #acab #fiberarts #blackartist #queerartist
DIY’d some stickers to sell at the first show of the year at the VCR AND tested out making recycled paper 😅 I’m gonna work on this paper making some more so I can actually print on it soon soooo keep an eye out 👾
Less than two weeks away from our new series focusing on amplifying @weareumaw campaigns focused on fair wages for streaming artists and holding tech companies like Spotify accountable to their horrible decisions that benefit their shareholders but destroy our ecosystems through AI datacenters and war profiteering and leave literal pennies to the mass majority of creatives who they exploit.

Paper weaving with images is so satisfying 😌 it’s also time consuming and makes me wish I knew how to weave baskets 🧺 Anyway, I’m going to get these up on my site soon!
