We are all so thankful ❤️ We went to @hv_petcareanimalia in Rio with Dr. Tatiana Martins and Chicken has received the best care possible by the warm and caring team ❤️ BTW this is not an Ad. I genuinely loved the team here. Chicken wasn’t nervous at all with them, instead he cuddled with the nurses and wasn’t shaky at all. The way that vet bills are elsewhere, it’s better to fly out somewhere and do the work in a top class clinic for less than what you’d have to pay at an “ok” clinic in Berlin, for example.
The clinic in Berlin wanted to charge around 1400 Euros total, of which 422 Euros were already spent ONLY in the pre surgery exams whilst the GoFundMe goal of 1500 Euros hadn’t been reached yet. With the surgery alone estimated at 800 Euros post examination, and without including post OP meds and the extra consultations to check the healing process and another to remove stitches. This meant we still couldn’t afford the surgery despite all efforts. I was already due to fly out to Rio to see my mom, so I did the math and realized that by bringing Chicken with me to Rio and staying long enough, we would then able to do his surgery + post OP meds and stitch removal appointment for 465 Euros.
This is nearly half of the price of just his surgery alone! By adding 200 Euros for his inbound flight, we arrived at 1087 Euros, nearly the exact amount raised so far! ❤️ Doing the surgery in Rio was truly the best decision for Chicken’s care. He is receiving 5 star care at a proper high level animal hospital with an extremely kind and pet loving team.
