Wir feiern gemeinsam die „Volljährigkeit“ des Bastard Club „SUNDAY MATINEE“.
Im Sommer 2008 fand genau auf dieser Bühne das erste Bastard Sunday Matinee statt – ein Konzertformat am Sonntag-Nachmittag bzw. frühen Abend, das damals noch eine echte Ausnahme war. Was als Experiment begann, entwickelte sich über die Jahre zu einer festen Institution im Bastard Club. Bands, Gäste und Fans haben dieses Format gleichermaßen gefeiert - und inzwischen haben viele Clubs und Veranstalter diese Idee übernommen. Ein schönes Beispiel dafür, wie sich gute Konzepte in der Szene verbreiten können.
Dass ausgerechnet Sacred Reich dieses Jubiläum mit uns feiern, passt perfekt. Die Band aus Phoenix, Arizona gehört seit den späten 80ern zu den wichtigsten Namen im politischen und kompromisslosen Thrash Metal. Mit Klassikern wie “Surf Nicaragua”, “The American Way” oder “Independent” haben sie sich weltweit einen Ruf als energiegeladene, ehrliche Liveband erspielt, die seit Jahrzehnten für Integrität, Haltung und pure Thrash-Power steht.
