Words can’t begin to express how proud I am. Tonight, my brother’s dream becomes a reality, he is officially a Broadway producer. From playing Prince Charming in the high school musical to opening night of “The Last Five Years” starring Nick Jonas and Adrienne Warren…what a journey. An honor to witness it all. A dream come true, for him, and for those of us lucky enough to see the show.
Steven Tartick: From growing up with Jason to executive creative director!
We’re trading secrets on the business behind Broadway, being a professional magician by 5th grade, and the money behind it all! All in another episode you can’t afford to miss.
Today we mourn the loss of Tabatha Rosen-Tartick, our beloved companion for the past 13 years. Tabatha infused our lives with so much joy. She was a happiness engine - nobody was immune to her bright eyes, perpetually-wagging tail, and ear-to-ear grin. Walking her down the street often felt like an act of charity - tourists, children, and hardened New Yorkers alike would melt at the very sight of her.
Cavalier King Charles are known to be lap dogs, and though Tabatha did indeed love a lap, she was also a consummate professional. Her career started early as a Fire Island tour guide. She explored every corner of the island, occasionally venturing out to the beach on her own if a front gate was left open. Her tenure as Central Park Squirrel Catcher was storied if entirely unsuccessful. She held the role of Chief Happiness Officer at no less than three Broadway offices. And she served as the ring-bearer at our wedding, though nearly lost the gig after a failed dress rehearsal where she stopped mid-aisle to chomp on some grass between cobblestones. She bargained hard for her compensation packages consisting of love, belly scratches, and the occasional turkey sandwich.
As Tabatha’s heart disease progressed, the vet told us that her heart had grown in size. Our hearts have grown too. We will forever carry her spirit with us, and she will always be a part of our family. We take great comfort in the knowledge that she brought happiness to so many of you, and are thankful to our friends and family who helped care for her over the last 13 years. We love you, sweet Tabatha.
