Our very own Peter Chu, President of TAP-SF, proudly represented our organization and its role in promoting Taiwanese American identity and community on Monday night during the pre-game interview at Taiwanese Heritage Night with the San Francisco Giants at Oracle Park!
After recognizing the significance of Asian American, Native Hawaiian, and Pacific Islander month, Peter also gave a special shoutout to TaiwaneseAmerican.org and the upcoming Taiwanese American Cultural Festival, helping spread the word about this upcoming Saturdayâs largest West Coast celebration of Taiwanese culture. Come help us kick off Taiwanese American Heritage Week this weekend!
Our Taiwanese dumpling wrapping in Pac Heights was such a blast, equal parts chaos and delicious teamwork. Between folding fish, mushroom, chive, and egg fillings into (mostly) respectable shapes, there was a lot of laughing and âis this right?â moments. The kitchen smelled amazing, and somehow everything tasted even better knowing we made it ourselves. Definitely one of those cozy, memorable afternoons with mahjong playing after that weâll want to repeat soon.
FINAL REMINDER: NEXT MONDAY 5/4!!

Twelve of us made it to the top of Mission Peak powering through steep climbs, windy ridgelines, and plenty of good conversation along the way. The group kept a steady pace and reached the summit with great energy. The descent was smooth and aftewards we rewarded ourselves with pastries from Pineapple King Bakery.
It was a beautiful (but chilly!) day to get down and dirty at the San Francisco Zoo! With our 16 enthusiastic volunteers, we shoveled, hauled, and raked a ton (ok, maybe not an actual ton, but it was a lot) of mulch to support new grass growth, all while working next to exotic birds and 80+ other volunteers. Though the pile might not seem to have diminished much, we definitely put a dent in it!
