Experimenting with additional retting of flax after it has been processed into tow. Do you have experience with this? I just love playing/exploring with fibre. #locallinen #fibreshed #localfibrelocalmill #linen #spinning #localfibrelove

Do you remember Tiny? She is the wee little triplet born in May 2022. I saw a little moving lump of brown in the corner where mama birthed and i was shocked to realize it was triplet Tiny, so incredibly small but full of life. She just needed a hand to keep up. Yesterday and today we processed a few years worth of Tiny’s fleeces. She is still tiny when standing along side her herd. Soon this yarn will be for sale at the fibrehaven in Canning. You can request the yardage you want or need from the cones.

Spinner on/off switch malfunction means a 30 minute learning moment for us. We three learned to fix a switch with support from Bill. And the spinner is fixed. Success!

We’re learning the ins and outs of making good-quality pellets, and they’re starting to look a lot better! So exciting! #woolpellets

Working on our line of yarns on cones … this is 3 ply and 2 ply sport weight merino wool yarn. Merino is not a local wool. But a lot of people like using it and we want to make yarns that people want. It is nice to have a variety of options.
