Yesterday the Bealart specialists took a trip to @tapcreativityon and got the lovely opportunity to speak with London Artist and Artcomp 2025 winner, Craig Guthrie ! BEALART students visited this afternoon with resident artist Craig Guthrie. The students viewed OUTSKIRTS Landscapes From the Road in LAB 203 and then moved up to Craig's studio to get a peek at his creative space. THE CALM BEFORE THE EXCITEMENT BEGINS. This is a favourite part of my Saturday. Seeing Annie and Joel @hasbeans_official for a cup of coffee and grabbing a croissant from Seth @lahoulettebakery at Covent Garden Market. The gallery opens at noon and TONIGHT is the reception for the 10th Ting Comic and Graphic Arts Festival. Come out to meet the artists, listen to live music by exhibiting artist Matt James @mrmattcjames and The "Petite" Tres Bien Ensemble, and share a few laughs with friends. TING EDITION Comic Jam Join us for a special jam hosted by @christopher_runciman_canada and Heroes Comics. To celebrate 10 years of Ting, this session will throw a challenge on the table asking jammers to use the number 10 or images in multiples of 10 from panel to panel. You start by drawing the first panel and then slide it across the table and see what the next person adds to the story. Bring your favourite pencils and prepare to improvise! We are very excited to announce Dear Abel / Love Mike, a duo exhibition by @a.gingerich03 and @mike__sloane in TAP's LAB 203 gallery. The opening reception takes place on June 13th from 2-4 pm, come join us for an afternoon of mingling and art!  The pieces will be on display at the gallery from June 9th - July 4th. 📍TAP Centre for Creativity 203 Dundas St, London, ON N6A 1G4 Dear Abel / Love Mike puts on display the act of correspondence between artists in order to offer up insight into what happens in and through inspiration, admiration, and reflection. Through paintings, mixed media, and sculptures, Dear Abel / Love Mike seeks not only to invite community to bear witness to friendly dialogues in action through art, but also exhibit the inner workings of relationship building. Directly and indirectly through their work, Mike and Abel are eager to foreground how in and around art there is connection and community building as such. As people encounter others’ artworks, bonds form, ones that, in one way or another, open the door for kindred spirits with shared ideals, values, and aesthetics to come together.

TING CONTEST! A peek at one of the Merle Tingley illustrations featured in the Gallery. Ting was editorial cartoonist for the London Free Press for over 40 years (1947-1986). His illustrations attracted a loyal following and his famous cartoon mascot, Luke Worm, is a widely recognized icon in the Canadian comic scene. Luke Worm appeared in each editorial cartoon.
