@tannercdavidson as seen in @torment_mag issue six and @paidpr0gramming Tuesday’s Child. “No such thing as the perfect spot, this one especially: high foot traffic, camera coverage from all angles,
city construction, maintenance workers, and no trespassing signs scattered at every possible access point
made this one hard to commit to. I’ve started building this spot at least once a season for the past six years
in hopes that it would snow enough to make it happen. It seemed like the time had finally come. Natural
speed was a blessing, but the setup was extensive; small shrubs, long grass, trees scattered in the landing.
It started to seem less promising the more we built it. Grinding out two solo evenings harvesting snow, cutting
out branches, trimming bush and wackin’ grass, all the while staying as stealth as possible wearing all black,
masked up. Sometimes I find it’s best to do these builds solo—fewer bodies around to attract attention.
I hit up Quinn, Jesse, Liam, and Gregor to see if they would be down to catch the first light on a chilly - 25 celsius
morning. It had to be cold because the cement bank was rough and needed a good icing. I was brainstorming ideas
of how to spray water high enough to hit the top of the bank and ended up purchasing a super soaker kit from Toys
‘R’ Us. We were rifling super soakers back and forth over the fence and refilling them as we went. It was roughly
11:00am before boots were on the ground. At this point the place was a shitshow with people everywhere–dog
walkers, runners, and construction personnel–felt like the place was about to implode. But the street gods must
have been watching out for us that day, cause everything came together and we clipped up without a hassle.” - Tanner
