Meet the three main characters of Overrust, each with a unique role, personality, and way to survive in a broken world.
Also started designing their dialogue portraits to bring them to life even more.
Still deciding: one main playable character… or the choice between all three?
I created a test scenario for Overrust.
I will test some mechanics developed in this scenario and see if they make sense and work, as well as test camera angles and the number of elements in the scene.
And the best part is that Overrust will have dynamic lighting, drawing attention to shadows and details to reinforce the narrative horror atmosphere.

New concept art for Kai, the main character of Overrust.
Kai is a resourceful and resilient teenage girl in a wheelchair, shaped by life in a destroyed world and the direct influence of her parents, former engineers at HQ. From childhood, she learned to manipulate technology like breathing, always transforming any physical limitation into a practical advantage. She displays a rare balance between emotional lightness and strategic determination, switching from "playful" to "focused laser" in the blink of an eye when the situation demands it.
