At COLLECTIBLE Fair (@collectiblefair ) 2025, we created a collaborative installation with Shawn Tang (@tangthousand ) — a sanctuary away from the chaos of the city and the fair itself. Inspired by the cinematic worlds of David Lynch, the space was conceived as a surreal chamber of sensuality: deep red carpet, Tang’s modular sculptural seating, and the radical hi-fi presence of our new Echo chrome loudspeakers. Anchored by a glowing tube amplifier and turntable, the room became both a listening chamber and a stage for encounter. Together, we built a space that balanced intimacy with intensity. A space that is both architectural, and cinematic, but above all, a moment of ritual and escape. Photos by: @rostudios_ @sxuicune @simonleungphoto

𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗧𝗵𝗼𝘂𝘀𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗙𝗹𝗼𝘄𝗲𝗿 𝗦𝗵𝗼𝗽 𝗯𝘆 𝗧𝗔𝗡𝗚 𝗧𝗛𝗢𝗨𝗦𝗔𝗡𝗗 × 𝗟𝘂𝗰𝗶𝗲 𝗖𝗹𝗮𝘂𝗱𝗶𝗮 𝗣𝗼𝗱𝗿𝗮𝗯𝘀𝗸𝗮 (@tangthousand / @thelucieclaudia ) For COLLECTIBLE New York 2025, TANG THOUSAND partnered Lucie Claudia Podrabska to unveil The Thousand Flower Shop—an immersive light-and-glass installation where memory, ritual, and permanence take sculptural form. The work blends architectural lighting and delicate craft: an illuminated awning designed by TANG THOUSAND frames 27 mouthblown crystal flowers by Lucie Claudia Podrabska. Inspired by NYC’s Chinatown streetscapes, the installation reimagines the traditional storefront as a space of contemplation, transforming the act of “shopping” into a ritual encounter with beauty and memory. __ #collectibledesign #sculpture #furnituredesign #functionalart#InternationalScene #ContemporaryDesign#ContemporaryCollectibleDesign

A listening lounge, a red room, conceived by @tangthousand x @silenceplease Presented at @wsanyc with @collectiblefair . Thanks for coming and hope you had a good time! 🪩⛩️ 📷: @simonleungphoto —— The listening room here gathers its energy from two forces in dialogue: the sculptural tactility of Tang Thousand’s PILOT Modular Sofa and the sonic clarity of Silence Please’s Echo speakers. The PILOT sofa is a terrain, primal in its geometric insistence yet tender in its chromatic saturation, a piece that insists on both utility and presence. The speakers, aligned vertically, operate almost as architectural columns, transmitting frequencies with a fidelity that turns sound into texture, and inflecting the space with an intimacy that feels at once ceremonial and domestic. With these elements, we staged a kind of retro-futurist ritual, where the shifting grammar of seating and sound becomes choreography: an endlessly recomposed composition of form and play, and a dialed-in frequency with precision.

‘Pine’ lamp shelf + ‘Kite’ lamp on a stand. Presented at Collectible Fair NYC, @collectiblefair @wsanyc 📸@matthewgordonstudio ——— This series of lamps are made in collaboration with NYC Chinatown metal workers. The objects here share many underlying principles of the electrically evocative storefront predecessor, but moving further from the original into new territory where the primitive qualities suggest ceremonial sigils or digital iconography. They sit explicitly in an in-between space of identity, uncategorizable, with a gravitational pull that summons us wherever they are placed, and transmits us in a new direction signaled, always different, by each piece’s particular choreography of acrobatic formalism and light. Each piece was made in direct collaboration with a local metal shop in New York City’s Chinatown. While the details of skin/bone relationship are rigorously dictated by Shawn and Sachio, there is a certain amount of industry specific blemish particular to each sculpture. The frames are made of aluminum and the wrapper is vinyl. They are partly delicate and endearing, and part grit and grime — factory-made, like car parts or skate ramps.
