Tangled Up In Dylan returns to The Cavern Club on Thursday 14th May for two hours of Bob Dylan songs live on stage, performed by Cavern Club resident artists Clark Gilmour and Carousel.
Exactly 60 years since the day Bob Dylan brought his band to Liverpool for the first time, we will be paying homage to that infamous 1966 tour and beyond!

What a night! 60 years to the day Bob Dylan stepped on stage at the Odeon in Liverpool for his first electric set in the city and his last show here in the 1960s, we celebrated his songs for 2.5 hours in The Cavern Club and had the best time!
First half was dedicated to the 1966 acoustic set followed by a full band set with @carouselbandlive
Thank you to everyone who came along. So much support and encouragement from true Dylan fans. Look forward to doing it all again next year!

On my way home after a great weekend in London. First time ever gigging in Camden. Thanks to @fabfemmemusic for inviting me.
First time I ever went to Camden was back in the summer of 2004. I was 18. I’d been in London buying an acoustic guitar in Denmark Street and decided to try and blag my way into the Barfly to watch @peterdohertyofficial , which I did. Crashed at @andrewkendall ‘s flat and made my way home the next day.

Bob Dylan on Mathew Street, Liverpool, 13th May 1966!
With local fan Denny Flynn. I’d never seen this before but presumably, Dylan was looking for The Cavern Club, which at the time had been closed since 28th February. It reopened 23rd July 1966 with new owners, a new layout and a new entrance, which is where you walk in today.
Denny Flynn’s other claim to fame was that he punched George Harrison in the face in The Cavern Club on 24th August 1962, giving him the black eye you can see him sporting at The Beatles famous dockyard photoshoot and at Abbey Road recording Love Me Do.
