One year of doing this art thing full-time
and in a way, I feel safer.
I’ve been able to fortify and enrich my life in ways that salary couldn’t buy.
I feel seen, needed and protected by those around me.
My work and my identity are one and the same.
And while there’s terror and anger as the horrors persist,
My body and mind are not eaten alive by the demands of a system I don’t believe in.
I have the time and space to build something real that can outlast it all.
Your freedom begets freedom.
Use your rights while you have them.
And insist on the life you want, one piece at a time…

About a year ago @wright_angle_studios gave me the gift of A Very Gender Photoshoot. On the first day I wore things that made me feel fem… the next morning I cut my hair and put on the boy.
The resulting photos are a reminder that a complex gender doesn’t have to feel wrong or overwhelming - it‘s also incredibly fun.
I’m thrilled to know I can consult these for self-assurance for years to come. The fact that they’re basically RAW files with no editing is also astounding to me. Thank you Emilia for your HEART, your support, and your incredible skill 📸

@k9gardenstl invited me for live pet drawing at their grand opening this weekend 🎾
It was my first time offering this service. I felt welcomed by the many friendly faces running in and out of K9 Garden. The staff was incredibly kind, and the dogs and dog parents were all wonderfully behaved!
There’s a nice community bubbling up at this beautiful facility. If you’re in STL and your dog likes a bustling dog-focused environment, make sure to check them out.
