I’m still trying to take in what has been an absolute whirlwind of a week. The new @hen_hoose album, The Twelve, came out last Friday and the response has been absolutely amazing. I spent much of the week with the hens at live sessions, rehearsals and our album launch.
We played live for @bbcradioscot Arts Mix and @bbcradio4 Loose Ends and then played the most amazing live show to a sold out @glasgowtramway for Celtic Connections.
If I could have imagined what I hoped Hen Hoose would become when I started it back in lockdown, Saturday was the vision brought to life.
Every hen smiling, cheering, dancing and supporting each other - blown away by each other’s talent, with a room full of support and love for an absolutely incredible body of work.
I feel so lucky to be part of this collective and I’m so grateful to everyone that has joined this journey with me.
And now.. back to offering a heap of opportunities to more women and non-binary artists in Scotland (and hopefully writing my own new album at some point).

It finally feels real now that I’m holding Album 2 in my hands. What started as a tiny idea five years ago has grown into something massive - a community, a home, a movement - for women and non-binary music makers across Scotland.
I’m so grateful for all the support that’s helped this network grow over the years. This album is the next piece of the puzzle, and I couldn’t be prouder of what we’ve built together.
We never ask for donations, but if you want to SUPPORT what we’re doing, pre-ordering the album genuinely makes a difference, as all the money comes back into Hen Hoose to continue our work.

It’s been a while!
But I have news..
I’ve been working away on all things @hen_hoose and I’m just starting to think about my next music project. Perhaps a change in sound is coming.. let’s see!
Meanwhile, after all my years of making music for sync and now working closely with so many amazing artists in Scotland, I have found myself as a sync-rep for @peermusicuk - I’ve set up officially as my own sync agency and I will be repping Scottish artists and sending them Peer’s way for pitching.
I’m mega excited to be able to offer the opportunity to artists to get their music out there, and still keep on working on my own tunes too.
