They are traditionally known for their intimate knowledge of the forest and its products, which have always been a vital part of the Khmu’s artisan culture. They use the strong Liana vine, which they harvest from the wild, then dry, twist into rope, and crochet or knit.

There is a first time for everything… We took a day off work and went white water rafting 🌊 What an exhilarating experience! It was absolutely wonderful to spend a day in nature and get some exercise. And we saw so many elephants and other wildlife in their natural habitat!

When I first started my business I was paying 11 THB for 1 gram of silver, now 1 gram costs over 100 THB… For this reason, I’m going to pivot to clothing on this buying trip. Stay tuned!
