And how often it is other women who quietly give us permission to choose differently.
Many of the things I know now, I learned from women.
Women whose honesty and courage reshaped how I see my own life.
They taught me that growth is rarely loud.
Often it is quiet.
A slow reordering of what matters.
Less rushing.
More intention.
Today I feel deeply grateful for the women who have shaped my life, often without even realising it.

What if the kindest word you could say this season is no?
This morning, coffee beside me and my journal open for International Women’s Month. I wrote something my younger self would have struggled to believe.
For years I thought being liked meant bending.
Being kind meant accommodating.
So I said yes to keep the peace.
Yes so no one would think I was difficult.
Yes to avoid being ‘too much’
But every polite yes quietly cost me something.
My time.
My energy.
My honesty with myself.
It took me years to understand a woman doesn’t become difficult when she learns to say no. She becomes honest.
So now I practise the brave art of the graceful no. Not to create conflict. Not to withdraw kindness.
And something surprising happens when you stop abandoning yourself: Your yes becomes joyful.
Yes to rest.
Yes to laughter.
Yes to the spontaneous moments that make life feel delicious again.
After all, saying yes to others when you don’t truly want to is simply another way of saying no to yourself, and that makes very little sense.

• Founded by: Marta Gras Maymi & Marris Kiema (Enkopiro Camp)
• In partnership with: Maasai Reto Association & Ololasurai Conservancy
Built from the ground up so children here can access to education, stability and opportunity. In just three years, the school has grown from 58 to 132 students.
Sponsorship is beautifully simple:
Uniforms. Daily meals. Education.
And for some, the chance to continue through boarding.
€150 sponsors one child’s education for an entire year.
€8,000 supports a full class.
As little as $0.50 a day helps provide two nutritious meals, learning, and the safety of a stable school environment.
