Thank you! I do have to say that it was a bit of a challenge until I realized that my awl was my best friend. I used it to pre-punch holes to stitch through because a needle alone wasn’t making it through all the layers. I really need to make some more of these. They are fun to make & I have some really cool old photos to work with that I collected years ago for such things.

Making Mermaid Cat Art Domino
Magnets & tried Ranger Archival Ink on my dominos for the first time. I don’t know why I waited so long to try this.
Though I dried them with my heat tool, I am still going to let them sit overnight before I UV resin them just to be on the safe side. I will return with the results. I am super happy with the crispness of the images I stamped. I did 7 of them in a row & not a bad print in the bunch! Woot!

This is one of my favorite card making techniques. I love working with vintage photos and this was an old postcard that I scanned then printed on a quick dry inkjet transparency. FYI this video is very sped up so take your time with the flame so as not to melt anything other than the edges of your printed transparency.

I used to take pictures….now I forget & mostly get videos. I am grateful to have found some photos of older work I did before I left Los Angeles. There was a period of time when life had turned upside down for me in every way possible & it would be then I threw myself into learning my craft. It was my therapy. It was a place to go to focus on something other than the chaos. It was a place I found peace in the pain of losing so much. It made me feel joy to find these images but also a bit of melancholy from that chapter in my life. Art…making…truly can heal.
