My heart feels so full to be able to present my first solo show in the beautiful city of Lisbon at the wonderful @art.room.pt on the 21st of May, with the talented curator @chlo_ram "Forests do not go to War" is my most recent body of work that I have been immersed in creating for the past couple of months. It arose as a necessity when I finally allowed myself to truly feel the grief that had been sitting in me, for the current state of the world. Our relationship to one another, nature and ourselves is in a state of such self destructive conflict and in dire need for healing. As an artist all I can offer for now is my attempt at processing, transforming and creating, from Grief to Grace. I have worked with watercolors, with water from rivers, with my tears, with holly water... with this sacred element that cleanse and births, that holds consciousness in the most mysterious ways, that brings life, binds, disolves, transforms, helps letting go of pain. I do not know what our human journey will look like, but I know we hold more beauty and more capacity for creation than anything else. I hope we fill the absence of love in this world with enough tears, that we may grow gardens whose beauty has never been seen before. I sincerely feel love and gratitude to be on this incredibly initiatory ride with all of you. We are in this together, all of us. May we remember, revive and share our humanity. May we bring life, love and light in all the spaces between and within us.

MEET THE ARTIST | Taïs Bean @taisbean _________________ Taïs Bean is a French multidisciplinary artist of Scottish, Indian, and Corsican heritage. A graduate of Central Saint Martins (2015), she has developed a practice rooted in the intersections of art, ecology, and inner transformation, working across Europe and North Africa. For over a decade, her research has explored ecology through psychology, mythology, and embodied experience. Influenced by diverse cosmologies and eco-psychology, she investigates cycles of life, death, and regeneration, as well as inner conflict and transformation. ▪️UPCOMING EXHIBITION Solo show “Forests Do Not Go To War” 21.05-24.05 at @art.room.pt Curated by Chloé Ramos. This immersive exhibition explores watercolor as a living, unpredictable medium in constant transformation. Through dispersion, movement, and chance, the artist collaborates with water rather than controlling it, allowing abstraction and personal narratives to emerge organically across the surface. ▪️Location: Art Room, Pátio do Tijolo 1, Príncipe Real, Lisbon ▪️Opening: Thursday, 21 May at 6 pm (with a performance at 8 pm) ▪️Exhibition dates: 22–24 May 2026 (By appointment only)

Ignition - Opening May 13th, 7pm @ahomemmau Excited for this upcoming group show curated by @wearecireine , with a beautiful group of artists. What an honour to be part of the Ignition 🙌💛🙌 The theme of this show quite litteraly ignited the body of works I have created so far this year. My piece for Ignition was the very first one I created, it planted a seed. The rest has been growing from it. See you all in Lisbon very soon!

I have been spending an incredibly beautiful and privileged time with my art in the last two months, preparing a few shows that I will let you know about soon. My practice has become a daily prayer for Peace, a place where I process grief and connect with a deep sense of love for humanity. All the while looking to trees and forests to understand how Nature exists beyond conflict. Many tears, and so much love. Photo by @geraldine_reine
