It’s about that time that the 996-generation Porsches begin to become collectible. In fact, it’s probably overdue given the focus Porsche Classic placed on building that special Club Coupe for the Porsche Club of America and that was later sold to Jerry Seinfeld. There’s also a tailored sweet spot for the Porsche 996. Paint to Sample and interior deviations did happen in this era. While not as common as today, that they did means great spec cars can and do happen.

Built in an era when Paint to Sample production was far less common, this 997.1 era Porsche 911 Carrera Cabriolet strikes a compelling case of both tasteful specification and affordable price. At least affordable in Porsche 911 context, the 997-era marks some of the most affordable offerings in the evolution of the car even though its prices are on the rise.
The Paint to Sample color in question is Malachite Green, a medium green metallic that looks handsome enough on its own. Paired with Cocoa Leather and matching Cocoa top, it all makes for an exceptionally compelling factory build.

Unique: Audi exclusive Alpine Green S7 that Might be RS 7

The car you see here is both highly unique and highly confusing.
Why unique? Alpine Green isn’t a common Audi exclusive color, though maybe it should be. It’s a medium light metallic green one might expect from a 90s Porsche (Wimbledon Green) or Aston Martin – quite different than the typical popular Audi greens like Java Green or Goodwood Green. Paired with an Audi exclusive interior in Magnolia White (effectively a cream), it is incredibly tasteful and fresh in a combination that is decidedly more British opulent than German Autobahn Burner.
What’s so confusing? The car is listed on the Audi Naples website as an S7 and a quick check on the VIN seems to support that. That said, photos seem to reveal it’s a more rare and more high performance RS 7.

Thanks to @coolin_mc , we got a walk around video of the Audi RS 5 F1 Pirelli Hot Laps Edition.
Two production-spec RS 5 models will be used in the program without additional mechanical modifications. They are distinguished by a Titanium exterior finish with Lava Red Audi rings and accents, a visual cue that links the cars to Audi’s forthcoming F1 challenger, the Audi R26.
That same specification appears consistent with two RS 5 units recently seen in transit through a U.S. air freight facility earlier this week, suggesting those vehicles are the exact cars now entering Hot Lap duty.
Driving duties will be handled by Audi factory veterans Dindo Capello and Markus Winkelhock, both of whom bring extensive endurance and touring car experience.

Limited-run Audis have always occupied a unique corner of the enthusiast market, but the 2021 Audi RS 6 Avant RS Tribute Edition stands apart even in that context. One of just 25 examples built for the U.S., the RS Tribute Edition was Audi’s nod to the original RS2 Avant —finished in Nogaro Blue with period-inspired details. This particular car, chassis #17, takes that already rare foundation and pushes it well beyond with a blend of OEM and a few aftermarket modifications.
