Long live @_.mcpain._ ! Josh McPain randomly showed up to the pass this spring and instantly started throwing down help on the festival setup.
One night we were all chillin in the staff tent and McPain was passed out hard in a LaFuma chair. So we woke him up and asked him where he was sleeping. He said he was crashing in his rental car. We looked at him and said, “Mcpain - grab your sleeping bag, we got a cot, setup in here.”
From that day forward there wasn’t a generator that wasn’t filled or a log round that wasn’t split.
This video might make it look like McPain sleeps on the job a lot but it was more like he was recovering from all that hardcore volunteering.
Then, a few weeks later, Mcpain went home, and everything went to hell in a handbasket. Chainsaws started breaking, power was going out, mass confusion broke out among the staff.
