The French Touch 🐓
The young French designer Dimitri Ribeiro, also known as Kit Core, presents his latest automotive creation: a wide-body kit for the new Renault 5, designed by him.
To capture Renault's neo-retro vision, I envisioned a color scheme for a potential R5 Turbo III, featuring a red and orange palette inspired by the original R5 Turbo for a retro touch on one hand, and black and carbon fiber parts for the modern, "neo" side on the other.
To complete the project, I imagined what the "R5 Turbo III" logo could look like.

Moonland is specialized in photo & film production services in the Nordics.
To expand their productions, they now also offer 3D/CGI services.
That’s why they approached me a few months ago to collaborate on an automotive CGI project.
To show the value 3D/CGI could bring to their clients, they asked me to create an Ineos Grenadier that gets dirty.
They gave me a backplate of a splendid location in Iceland with a muddy road and it was up to me to integrate the CGI 4x4 vehicle in this environment.

Sometimes, 'less is more'.
So for this one, I wanted to keep it simple with a classic studio lighting but with a special touch: light trails.
The Mazda RX-500 is a prototype from 1970 with this particular design, a retrofuturistic look. It could easily fit in a sci-fi project with this rear and all those tail lights (including green ones). So I wanted to focus on this particular part. There was something to do with it.
With this in mind, the idea of the light trails came up instantly.
The light trails give a feeling of motion. Added to an exaggerated perspective and it brings dynamism to a static car.
Here I wanted a modern render with a vibe from the past that is at a crossroads between real and surreal.
