A valuable educational video on non-dairy desserts. My advice & key take-away: to ensure you get the best option of whatever dessert you’re deciding between… simply buy everything in question and taste them all side-by-side!
I tasted:
🍰Ben & Jerry’s non-dairy Strawberry Cheezecake Ice Cream, 🍦So Delicious’ Coconut Vanilla Ice Cream in the same bowl with 🍓Talenti’s Summer Strawberry Dairy-Free Sorbetto, & lastly🍓Oat-Ly’s Strawberry Oatmilk Ice Cream
What I learned:
1. There are tons more frozen non-dairy options out there than I expected!
2. Non-dairy “ice creams” used to have a cardboard taste, but the non-dairy items I tried today were all delicious, creamy, and uplifting! I scored big time on Ben & Jerry’s, So Delicious, Talenti, and Oat-ly.
3. I’m gonna need to do some sit-ups to compensate for the many new tasty treats I’ve discovered.

I invented this Bread recipe last night for Calzones & Garlic Knots and it was sooooo delicious that I couldn’t stop giggling. PERFECTION! This morning I tried my recipe as a loaf, and I’m not exaggerating at all when I tell you this is the best bread (and garlic knots) I’ve ever had. I’m so ticked with my recipe being epically delicious that I can’t keep it all to myself! I hope it makes your taste buds smile like mine did.
I’m gonna make it into cinnamon rolls next!

Some old drawings of mine… One day I hope to have the time to sketch something again. It’s a soothing pastime I miss and have thought a lot about lately… when there was nothing pressing on my schedule and I had the peace to let the pencil dictate how long my mind would wander.

Pics 2, 3, & 5 were gifts. The rest still live in my sketchbook in a box somewhere, along with other drawings of horses, portraits, playing cards, m&m faces, and more. One day I hope to pick up a pencil again.

Scottie’s Donuts in Nampa for the win! WOW so delicious! This framed Doughnut description was adorable. I’m such a donut lover. The glazed was the best I’ve ever had, the chocolate frosted with Butterfinger crumbles was really good, the strawberry sprinkle was the perfect ratio of frosting, and the blueberry cake I gave to my mom and she loved it. A very happy addition to my day.

It finally snowed for me! I love winter. The brisk air that refreshes your lungs and sweaters with matching hats make me extra happy.
I love every season, actually. I’m just a lover of life, and today life awakened me with a little blanket of white! It melted quickly, but for those of you who have to scrape your windshield- buy this de-icer… it’s magical and melts ice instantly!

TEXAS TRIP HIGHLIGHTS!!! I just got home from a short visit to Texas to see my dad, sister, brother, & sister-in-law! They all picked me up from the airport and tracked my plane coming in to know which one to cheer for 🤣 (Turn the SOUND ON for the first slide to hear their excitement lol).

Christmas season has been delightful. Full of music (that’s my mom playing the piano), cookies, good food, and thoughtful gifts. I got to open presents over FaceTime with my dad & sister, brother & sister-in-law and share many smiles. My kitties enjoyed the spoils of Christmas by getting to play in a pile of wrapping paper and nap in boxes.
Looking to the new year, I wish I had a certain someone to share a kiss with at midnight, but I’m positive there are many amazing things in store for 2026.

This was the most beautiful fall I’ve ever experienced by far! I wish I had taken more photos, as the colors have come and gone and the trees are bare now. I pressed some of the leaves from our yard (first pic) and will be framing them as a Christmas gift for my mom of her first season in her new home.
Winter is rapidly approaching in Idaho, with highs in the 40s for the foreseeable forecast with a sliver of a chance of snow! I absolutely LOVE the change of seasons. Taking a breath that chills my lungs energizes me and takes my spirit to a new level of excitement. I’ve only lived here a couple months, but I can already tell that I’m definitely an Idaho girl at heart.
