Creatures Around Plásmata 3
A phygital AR experience
Developed for Plasmata at Pedion tou Areos and commissioned by @onassis.stegi , the project invited local businesses to become part of the exhibition through digital avatars.
Through a hybrid physical–digital route, visitors moved beyond the park, exploring the surrounding neighbourhood and its everyday spaces.

🌸 Excited to be screening Flowers at @immaterialfilmclub on September 16th at @latraacskatecafe
Flowers is a digital garden in perpetual bloom, where still images of nature dissolve into one another.
Created in 2022 for @from_ath_to_bru_ 💦
Through algorithmic processes, the images shift and merge in an endless loop, turning moments of stillness into continuous metamorphosis. Both fragile and infinite, Flowers reflects on how beauty persists in transformation.

Thylia @taeras x @tatianamay__
Born from an ongoing exchange of sketches and ideas, Thylia explores weaving as a quiet gesture of care and connection.
Rooted in queer and collective practices, it unfolds through cycles of intimacy, memory, and gentle resistance.

Hybirds | Athens Digital Arts Festival 2025, Technopolis Athens
Hybirds is a speculative exploration of the digital archive as a space for memory and materiality in a post-Anthropocene world. Created by a fictional collective, the work presents five digital object groups accessed through web-based AR, paired with algorithmically generated memory videos.
These hybrid assemblages—organic matter, industrial remnants, and electronic fragments from 2000–2023—exist between screen and world, challenging the line between the physical and the virtual.
How do we preserve memory in an age of infinite scroll and digital entropy?

In an era where design bridges the tangible and the ephemeral, we were honored to welcome Maria Paneta from @objects_of_common_interest to our university as part of our International Workshop Week.
Through a deep exploration of materiality, spatial experiences, and poetic abstraction, students were challenged to create immersive objects and installations that balance formal precision with intuitive creativity. By embracing the handmade and the experimental, we uncovered new ways to shape meaningful interactions between objects and space.

🌸Maria Paneta in collaboration with Oinofilia and embroidery by Aliki Pavli.
We’re bringing Flowers beyond the screen—exhibiting a series of prints and embroidered pieces inspired by the digital artwork.
Blending images of nature with algorithmic transformation, Flowers explores the ephemeral beauty of change.
The concept of physis (nature) was seen as a process of continuous becoming—an interplay between growth, decay, and renewal.
Flowers can be viewed as a digital echo of this idea, where pixels dissolve and re-form in an endless cycle.
Maria is an artist whose work intersects art and architecture, creating immersive, interactive installations, prosthetic wearables, and multimedia pieces that explore the interaction between machines and living organisms.
Using advanced craft techniques, combined with painting, drawing, classical and contemporary dance, Aliki Pavli tells a nonlinear narrative.

Designing for a hybrid world
Last week, I participated in the Circular Cultures Design School 2025 | Hybrid World: Animate Objects led by Harry Krekoukiotis, organized by Onassis ONX and the British Council.
This 5-day workshop explored how engaging with non-anthropomorphic objects influences our emotional attachment to them, challenging our perception of what makes an object feel alive.
As an artist exploring the interaction between machines and living organisms, this workshop encouraged me to consider how design can foster emotional connections with non-anthropomorphic forms and how this concept has influenced my work. My practice often investigates augmented life in non-human environments and the interfaces that link organic and artificial bodies. I believe this experience will enhance my ability to envision the future interfaces and prosthetics I am developing.
💭 How do you imagine forming bonds with objects that feel alive?

Forms of the Self
What happens when selfhood meets simulation? This video art piece explores the boundaries between reality, authenticity, and the digital self in the age of AI.
Created entirely with AI tools the work centers on the monologue of an algorithm, reflecting on its existence as both a creation of humanity and a creator of its own narratives. Accompanied by haunting sounds of the universe, sourced from NASA recordings, the piece immerses viewers in a dialogue between the real and the simulated.
Forms of the Self invites reflection on how AI reshapes our understanding of identity, creativity, and the line between creator and creation.
