Garage Paradise welcomes a powerful new voice to the label with Elusive, the debut release from South West London producer TABZ. Delivering an upfront, floor-ready garage house cut, Elusive channels the spirit of early Nice ’n’ Ripe records while firmly planting its feet in today’s UK underground.
Built on skippy percussion, infectious swing and heavyweight bass pressure, Elusive is a confident statement of intent. TABZ fuses classic UK garage energy with modern production polish, creating a track that feels both nostalgic and forward-facing – equally at home in sweaty basements and peak-time club moments.
Born and raised in South West London, TABZ was immersed in music from an early age. With both his father and uncle working as DJs, rhythm and sound were part of everyday life. By the age of seven, he was already studying percussion at school, developing the instinctive sense of groove that would later define his productions.
At 13, TABZ was introduced to Logic Pro during high school, where he began experimenting with orchestral compositions. This grounding in arrangement and layering laid the foundations for his detailed, textured approach to production – a characteristic that continues to shape his sound today.
A move to Nottingham for university proved pivotal. Surrounded by the city’s thriving nightlife and student culture, TABZ gravitated toward the raw, high-energy pulse of UK garage. His music now reflects a blend of London heritage and Nottingham influence, merging classic garage swing with contemporary underground aesthetics.
Beyond the studio, TABZ is rapidly building momentum as a DJ, performing shows up and down the country. His sets mirror his productions: percussive, energetic and rooted in the culture, with forward-thinking selections that pay homage to the old-school foundations of UK dance music.
With Elusive, TABZ makes a strong debut on Garage Paradise and signals the arrival of a producer deeply connected to the genre’s past while pushing confidently into its future. One to watch closely in 2026 and beyond.
