I thought I could get a few more days of ice in this season but it looks like our season closer was Feb 24th.
With 7 days of ice for 2025/26 and most of those in Iceland Iād have to say itās been a pretty un-wintery winter.
Thanks to all the people that shared the ice with me, hopefully next year we get nuked by an Artic storm for a couple weeks. š¤

Lumi being a cutie pie after I told her we werenāt extending our walk another 45mins. Initially, she was unpleased about it but the promise of a treat in the car and her heated floors at home to groom herself won her over.

@jagolub experiencing a winter Icelandic storm.
We lucked out with weather this trip and only had a 24 hour period like this. One of the reasons we choose not to camp on a winter trip.
The highway near us was shut down and we hung out in our cozy cabin besides about 15 mins going out to feel the storm.

Last February looked a little different in Squamish.
It seems this is not a strong year for West Coast ice, I hope all of the newer people Iāve spoke to were able to get out at least once to swing some tools safely.
With temps above zero many days this winter itās extra important to check those human factors around decision making.
