#ad ☀️ Our top skincare product to reduce signs of ageing?
Of course it has to be SPF!!!
How sun causese ageing:
☀️UVA long rays penetrate beyond the surface into deeper layers of the skin. They are the primary cause of premature signs of skin ageing such as loss of elasticity, wrinkles, sagging and can create abnormal pigmentation patterns, which show up on the skin as dark patches, known as age spots or sunspots.
☀️UVA rays are present all year round, and, unlike UVB rays which cause the skin to visibly change colour, you don’t get a signal to let you know that they’re causing invisible damage. So, by the time you see the results of that damage in the form of wrinkles and pigmentation, it’s too late.
Our favourite SPF is the @larocheposay Anthelios UVMune400 SPF50+!
Why choose La Roche-Posay?
☀️Frequently recommended by dermatologists
☀️contains Mexoryl 400, the most efficient UV filter against the most penetrative UV rays.* We love that the brand makes awareness and protection from these rays a priority
So remember, no matter the weather, wear your SPF!

If exercise was a pill, would we prescribe it to everyone? 🧘🫶ad
16 weeks ago Becca was diagnosed with a bone stress injury in her foot, meaning many weeks on crutches and in a boot and movement has been limited…🩼
She has seen first hand the direct impact that the lack of movement has on her mental and physical health and the past few weeks she was struggling. 😔
Since the foot injury has improved and she is now back moving, she has also the positive effects movement has, which is why we are so glad we work with @asicsrunning 🩵
ASICS has the philosophy of “Sound Mind, Sound Body” which is about how movement is so important for a healthy body and mind. Also movement does not need to be a run or huge gym session, it can be a walk or even stretching and just 15 minutes of movement has been proven to improve peoples mental state. 🏊♀️
So if exercise was a pill, would you prescribe it to everyone?👀

Why are 30% of women missing the thing that could save their life?
Cervical cancer is the 4th most common cancer in women globally, yet a third of people in the UK are currently missing their screenings. We’re addressing the fear of smears, how it can feel intimidating and explaining how the experience can be better for you, so you can put your health first ✨
✨ 33% of the eligible population doesn’t attend, we might miss the opportunity to catch precancerous changes before they ever turn into a problem.
✨ Many younger women feel they aren’t at risk, but screening starts at 25 for a reason!
✨ Did you know you can ask for a smaller speculum, use extra lubrication, or even ask to insert the speculum yourself?
✨ You are entitled to a chaperone, you can bring a friend or you can ask for a double appointment if you need more time to feel settled.
✨ Remember that 99% of cases are preventable through screening 💙

99% of cervical cancer cases are caused by HPV !!
It’s a staggering statistic, but one that highlights why screening is so important
As doctors, we want to replace the fear of HPV with the facts:
✨ having HPV does NOT mean you have cancer. It is an extremely common virus that most people will encounter at some point in their lifetime.
✨ In the vast majority of cases, your immune system will clear the virus entirely within two years without any treatment at all.
✨ Only about 10% of cases persist long-term, and only a tiny fraction of those ever progress to cell changes. Screening is there to find that 10% before anything happens.

Do Creatine Gummies Work? 🍬
There are so many ways to take Creatine, for example, powders, tablets, capsules, bars. But what about gummies, do they actually work?
POSITIVES ✅
✨ High Compliance: If you hate swallowing large capsules or the texture of powder, gummies are a game-changer for making sure you actually take your supplement every day.
✨ Bioavailability: Whether it’s a gummy, powder, or tablet, all ways are just as effective.
NEGATIVES ⚠️
❌ The Serving Size Trap: Most gummies only contain ~1.5g of Creatine. To hit a 5g maintenance dose, you might need to eat 4+ gummies a day. Check your labels!
❌ Cost Per Serving: When you do the math, gummies are often 3-4x more expensive per gram of Creatine compared to a bulk bag of monohydrate powder.
❌ Regulatory Gap: Because supplements aren’t regulated like drugs, some brands don’t actually contain the levels of Creatine they claim on the front of the pot.

How does Creatine actually work? 🏃♀️
The Sciencey Bit:⚡️
- Creatine is stored as phosphocreatine in the body, meaning it can donate phosphate to turn ADP to ATP in the body which helps give your body energy!
- This energy allows you to do those extra reps in the gym which leads to increased muscle growth and strength.
Things to Note:⚠️
- You do have creatine naturally occurring in your body, but you also get it from you diet in things like meat and fish, so vegans and veggies may have lower stores.
- Creatine has been seen to be more useful in powerful motions than in endurance.
- Hydration is key as creatine draws water into the muscle cells to help with energy and recovery, so you need to increase your water intake.
Whether you’re looking to get stronger or just curious about the science of creatine, we’re deep-diving into the “Brain Health” research and the “Gummy Scam” in Episode 7 - OUT NOW! 🎙️💙

Does Creatine work without strength training? 🤡🏋️♀️
Creatine doesn’t build muscle for you - it just gives you the energy to do thise extra reps! So don’t expect the muscle gains unless you are training the muscles too!✨
