Balinese flower petals, scattered in bowls, bring love and blessings to the table. A vibrant Japanese obi adds a splash of color, while oversized place mats, once banana fiber bags from Manila, thoughtfully repurposed, offer comfort and a natural texture. A warm, inviting setting where conversations flow and lunch lingers into the afternoon.
This table was selected among many beautiful and elegant setups. Check out @oltrelatavola.it beautifully descriptive and engaging blog to explore more inspiring tables. https:/www.oltrelatavola.it

The Ocean is calling….and it will be impossible to resist in June. You will let yourself drift, far from everything, carried away by wandering thoughts. Your eyes trace the horizon, lost somewhere between sky and sea. Time slows down …and in this perfect moment you savor your picnic with pur, quiet pleasure.
The mala in Bali,
the mala from India…
There are always these crossings of inspiration,
where different origins, different spiritualities meet…
As if, beyond forms and cultures,
everything is drawn back to a certain invisible order,a subtle thread that runs through us and connects us
In Bali, banana leaves are part of everyday life, used constantly, in both food and ceremonies, shaping the island’s natural rhythm.
Several million pieces are used daily, yet this tradition remains beautifully sustainable: locally sourced, endlessly regrown, and gently returned to the earth.
Today, I brought them to my table… a celebration of green, of texture, of a feeling quietly regenerated by nature.

There is always that exciting, deeply creative moment when you imagine and design a dinner table setting.
But I also love, sometimes the moment when it all comes undone…
Especially when it is made of plants.
After shining on the table, they begin to transform, taking on a different presence. In the warmth of Bali, they gently fade, yet they hold onto another kind of soul, more intimate.
They become a new source of inspiration…
Before returning to the earth, composted, and offering life back to nature.
An endless cycle that continues to inspire and create.

This Easter table finds its origin in a journey, Bali to Jakarta, where my children run with purpose, protecting the ocean from plastic.I felt called to return to the essence, an organic table.
From the palm forests they crossed, I envisioned an interpretation: an eggs forest, sculptural and serene.
Pandan leaves, once used and carefully kept, return here with intention, elevated, organic, and quietly luxurious.
A table where nature is not adorned, but honored. Happy Easter!

Throwing a first glimpse of my new Easter table in the making…
A vision of a forest of egg trees slowly coming to life.
Not every try works, but each one leads me further, shaping the rhythm of my long table, building my chemin de table step by step.
