Join us for an evening of Desert Ragas with Parveen and Ilyas Khan on 10th April at Nila House. Raised in Jaipur within an Indo-French lineage, the sibling duo carry forward a legacy where music is both an inheritance and a constant devotion.
The performance will center on maand, a genre of Rajasthani folk music that is shaped by the landscapes and stories of the region.
Parveen performs rāgas alongside maands that are accompanied by Ilyas, who brings a contemporary layer to the traditional sound, moving between the rhythm of the tabla and the modern texture of beatboxing. Together, they create a dialogue between heritage and the present.
